they only do that for people who are fired, with the exception of Ace saying it to Morrison on TV, the Bellas aren't leaving because they're fired, they're leaving cause their contract expired. Then why announce it on TV and put it on their site? They don't usually do that with people whose contracts run out. They just leave and aren't mentioned again. The fact that the WWE is trying to make people aware of it all screams work. You mean like when Ace fired Morrison as he was being stretchered out on RAW and everyone screamed the same thing? Hell they'll probably release a video tonight or tomorrow where they interrupt him and he, still pissed about the Brock stuff, fires them.

Alright...so some are saying its a random way to write them off and they're not fired.
Others are saying that to bring attention to it at all means that it's a work.
The answer is in the middle. They're gone.

Hippie Brie needs to unleash her miniature puppies to the world now. If the dirtsheets and twitter pics are to be believed Brie is too busy getting some hot "YES" action to sling those out.

It seemed like they did that with Morrison because they had the intention to resign him again in the future, and didn't want him to go out in a way that would make people forget him. It just seems odd that they would even bother to make up an excuse as to why the Bellas are no longer around. We'll see I guess.

As I mentioned eariler, JBL, Batista, Morrison, and Jericho (twice) were all written out of the show when their contracts expired. They all were kayfabed injured (Morrison, Jericho 2010), fired (Jericho 2005), or quit (JBL, Batista).

See there's a difference between the Bellas and Morrison, Jericho, and Batista. The latter two were integral to the show at the time, so they HAD to be written out. Morrison was a moderately over midcarder with a decent fanbase, so when he was released, they made it a slightly bigger deal than when they toss the average joe out of the company.
Nikki and Bree Bree's fanbase is...well, let's just say that its smaller.

Vince loves them and they put the title on each of them. This is what they do for people they like.

They deserved to written out rather than just forgotten. This is the Bellas we're talking about. Also, they haven't even released any details on why they were fired, which makes this even more odd.

Its not that the Bellas deserve it (though imo, they do). The fans deserve it. I like that they're taking at least a tiny bit of time to explain the disappearance of 2 people that we've seen on TV a fair amount for the last 2 years.

They have a kayfabe explanation just about any time someone leaves upon expiration of their contract unless they've been off TV for awhile. Even Tajiri got to get on the mic and announce he was leaving after his last match in 2005. When someone keeps appearing on TV right up to the end of their deal, there is usually an explanation mentioned on-air.

Fans that watch the show, silly. Judging by the Diva thread though, yes, they do have fans. Since they became heels, I always thought they weren't that bad.

Yes they have many fans, and I'm one of them. They're some of the best developed characters in the Divas division. And their "twin magic" gimmick was a welcome change from the normal divas match formula.

That's some A level acting right there. I guess they are gone then. Can't really say I'll miss them.

I give WWE credit. They've done a pretty good job at screwing with smart fans' heads. They're walking that kayfabe line well, doing real things in a kayfabe fashion, and vice versa.
As one of the fans they are trying to mess with, I enjoy it and appreciate that they take the time to do it.

Nooooo...now there's a Bella shaped hole in my heart. I guess this bumps Rosa up to the next hottest Diva right after Eve. Sigh, they looked so pretty tonight too.
