I think he's pretty much a direct rip-off of Goldberg. Only with an RVD-style singlet and without the goatee.

I fail to understand how he is NOT a Goldberg ripoff.

If you never think about Goldberg when you watch Ryback you must be watching something else named Ryback

I fail to understand how he is NOT a Goldberg ripoff. Simple, he didn't beat an established wrestler in his first match. Remember, Goldberg's first televised WCW win was against Hugh Morrus.

I never thought about Goldberg either until someone mentioned it, even the chanting. It could have been far worse.

I mostly just think, "God, Ryback is a stupid name."

I fail to understand how he is NOT a Goldberg ripoff. I fail to see how it is. He's got a bald head and that is it. It's like the half-assed Goldberg is just an Austin ripoff stuff to me. To me he is just a pre-Evolution Batista clone.

I don't see how Goldberg chants = mocking. Goldberg was pretty damn well liked back in the day, so I would think that if fans were comparing Ryback to him, it'd be a good thing. Certainly better than having him come out and wrestle to silence.

They ain't comparing though... Ryback is a midget goldberg wannabe. Um, Sheffield is taller than Goldberg.

There are similarities, of course, but not enough to call him a ripoff IMO.

Yeah, a TON of people debut this way.
But he's bald and has one name. So....Goldberg

If they wanted him to be a Goldberg clone they should have just dropped the Skip and named him "Sheffield".

I don't really think of Goldberg either, but that's more because Goldberg left little impression on me as a fan. I never watched WCW as a kid.

I think it's really insulting that the fans compare them like that.
I mean, Goldberg was so much better.

The Lariato followed by that Fisherman Drop deal is pretty much his Spear/Jackhammer. FEED ME MORE is his "Whos Next?!:
He's more like Goldberg than most.
