Seems the only ones who have a chance to beat Mayweather is Sergio Martinez or Pacquiao nobody. Side note. I was close. Two judges called it 117-111, one called it 118-110.

Hell, when he was going to give a rematch to Del La Hoya (who almost beat him), he decided to retire. Any concession Pacquiao makes, Mayweather makes a new obstacle.

Why does Mayweather refuse to fight either one of them then? Every time Pacquiao agrees to another one of Mayweathers' demands, Mayweather adds yet another demand or refusal (doesn't want to give Pacquiao any of the PPV money.) He knows they would give him the toughest fights of his career. Cotto is a good fighter, but he's not at the same level as those 3.

That plus his fake retirement before he had to give Del La Hoya a rematch and the fact that he abuses his girlfriend tells me that he is a coward.

so any post fight interview fireworks? Cotto refused to give an interview, & Merchant said Mayweather apologized on Friday about what happened between them after his last fight.

Mayweather would beat Pacquiao IMO
Cotto surprised me tonight. Thought he fought well and even though the scorecard didn't look close, it was a pretty entertaining match all the way to the end. Better than Floyd's last couple of fights.

Well, as one of the 3 that gave Cotto a chance to win, I have to say that I saw the fight closer than the judges did and even though he lost Miguel Cotto put one hell of a performance that could have gave him the win on any other fight. Besides, I still have my doubts on the judges' integrity when I saw Triple H on Mayweather's corner but that could be something the typical idea of him hanging with a shovel might make me believe.

I had it 116-112 for Mayweather. Two or three of the rounds it felt like Cotto didn't do anything at all in them. Mayweather was just way too quick. I really don't know where Cotto goes from here. It seems he's at a dead end now since he lost to both Mayweather & Pacquiao. I really don't know who he could fight now.

Ha ha ha 'shovel'. I was watching this in Spanish and even there the commentators were pro-Mayweather. Great fight from Cotto. He did very well against the 'best fighter in the world'. Didn't expect Cotto to win, but there is always hope that he may pull off an upset. Hesitant on getting excited for Cotto after the Mayweather/Ortiz BULLSHIT! Speaking of, what is the latest on Ortiz? In the late stages of the fight, I figured Mayweather would have won by decision. He is dangerous in the last rounds though. Seems to coast most of the fight and tire the opponent to point of exhaustion. That's when he strikes, like tonight with that combination. Mosely is a dirty f***er. Never been a fan. Glad Canelo beat him. Not entirely convinced yet that Canelo is ready for Pacquiao or Mayweather, even though I would love to see the fight as Canelo is my fav fighter. The guy is 21 years old and undefeated. It's hard to say if going for the big one right now is best, even though losses do help improve a fighter. Mayweather is set to fight in the fall again hopefully against Pacquiao if not, who? Cotto 2?

Your thinking of Miguel Cottos' brother whos' name is Jose Miguel Cotto. Miguel Cotto who fought Mayweather tonight only lost to Margarito, Pacquiao, & Mayweather.
