You know who I realized I miss having in Chikara? Da Soul Touchaz. They definitely had some fun matches over their run, and I think I'd prefer them being a Chikara staple to the Bucks/Bravados. ....I'm torn, because here is where I lose a lot of support. I seem to be completely alone in not getting the big deal about DST. They're not bad, but they don't stand out at all to me. I suspect part of it is that they always seem like they are having fun in the ring. Stuff like that is infectious. And beyond that, Chikara doesn't have a lot of bigger guys running around. Then there's the fact that they're quite athletic, and have great synergy together. They definitely aren't the best thing ever, but they certainly feel like they belong under the Chikara umbrella, at least in my book.

Gran Akuma's Chikara contract. If Icarus gets it, he rips it up, and Akuma's gone forever.

And what are they climbing to grab exactly? A laser removal kit. Why make it easy? Hand Gran Akuma a box of supermarket matches and let him burn that horrid tattoo off, inch by inch.

5/16/2012: Do you think yourself clever, Quackenbush? You must. You must imagine yourself to be the smartest man in pro-wrestling. You remembered our names! What a remarkable brain you must have. Far trustier than that left wrist of yours. That back of yours. The list goes on. Your brain might work fine, but your body...how many surgeries have you had now? The people you surround yourself with, your partners and allies, they are all good soliders, aren't they? Until they turn their backs on you. Like Rockin' Robin did in 2005. Or Shane Storm did in 2008. It's just a matter of time before Jigsaw does. How many have abandoned you over the years? The Swarm though...we had the good sense to get out long before all of that. We saw what was ahead for us if we stayed on at Chikara Wrestle Factory. Lugging that ring from town to town, setting up for the events like a slave labor force. That's what the "factory" produced. Maybe that was just fine for the Mister ZERO's and the Gran Akuma's of the world, but not for us. Do you think we had nothing better to do with our weekends? We have always been destined for stardom. Is working the "ring crew" how pro-wrestling superstars are made? Tearing down the ring at the end of the night only to set it up somewhere else? Let me call Johnny Ace quickly and ask him if that's how they find the next WWE hiree. I don't think so. People talk about "paying dues" and for what? It was bad enough listening to you prattle on obsessively about technique and form in the ring, Quackenbush. How much more did we have to pay before we got what we deserved? I'm sure the people reading this wonder what we must really be like. You've put us under the "rudo" section of your roster page, so we must be the "bad guys" right? I'm not a bad guy. Let me tell you who I am. I am a mature, considerate, amicable and heartfelt optimist. The arrival of GEKIDO in CHIKARA was not some impulsive, immature decision made at the last minute. It was the result of a lot of planning, a lot of forethought. If you ask me, we should be at the top of the "tecnico" section. Your proteges Quackenbush, the ones you take such pride in...from Hallowicked and UltraMantis to Green Ant and Dasher Hatfield. Do any of them deserve to be bigger stars than us? Is there anyone you've trained that is a better wrestler than any single one of us? All of you so-called "stars" of CHIKARA are lucky. You aren't more talented, more dedicated, more ANYTHING. Just lucky. When we left, CHIKARA was a sinking ship. Could barely pay the rent. Could barely afford to keep the lights on. Certainly couldn't afford to turn the air conditioning on. So we left that little sweat shop. "Factory" was the right name, all right. You got lucky, CHIKARA. And luck can change. The Swarm's luck is about to change. And as for that lesson you never taught us, Quackenbush? Yes, I read your little blog. You really think sending the original five to do your dirty work is a recipe for success? Dragonfly has got ring rust on his mask and ZERO has been semi-retired for years. How is Icarus going to get along with those guys? That's your master stroke? Lambs to the slaughter. deviANT

Though they've yet to name the venue(s) for King of Trios, CHIKARA announced that tickets for the events will be sold at Aniversario

The blog from deviANT blog reminds me, wasn't there an indy guy that wrote an article or blog tearing apart Quack and Chikara for how the Wrestlefactory students are/were treated? Talked about how he left after being told he had to go to shows and work the ring crew? Wonder if this is playing off that or a part of this in someway?

Wonder if this is playing off that or a part of this in someway? deviANT says he's a "heartfelt optimist", and so did the guy who wrote the article. So either that article was a work or--and I hope this isn't the case--the CWF really is like that and Quack is using deviANT as a strawman for this guy who dared to criticize his school.

It wouldn't be the first time Quack used a character as a strawman to poke fun at somebody he had an axe to grind with. Either way, it's an interesting storyline.
Also Delirious continues to further show why he's, honestly, one of the most underrated "top names" in the indy scene. Dude just has amazing acting ability. Even if the indy scene as a whole still considers him "the comedy guy who's a Missing Link knock-off", least most of CHIKARA's fanbase knows/will know the truth after this storyline is said & done.

Well, Mike Quackenbush being open about having obsessive-compulisve disorder isn't afraid of planting the tiniest of seeds in CHIKARA's Lore.
It's possible that tumblr was part of it from the beginning. Especially since it does have any newer posts.

Yeah, I think that's actually more probable, because of that and because I had a pretty hard time imagining a real person (as opposed to a character in a wrestling storyline) saying anything like "Harper is a tall slim male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches, and should weigh more then I do, which is 175 pounds. His jaw is square and vertically large. His hair is dark brown, and usually his bangs are spiked up, doesn’t appear to have any gel or hair product in it." A normal person would just talk about what's wrong with this Harper guy rather than going into great detail about what he looked like.

I'm LOVING this GEKIDO thing. No idea where it's all leading, but the actual story they're telling is a pretty good one. And if that old blog was just a work to plant the seed for this, then Quack is both the best kind of genius, and possibly the worst kind of insane.

I'm still waiting for some shoe or another to drop before I'm sold on GEKIDO. Right now it's still a BDK group of lesser value. Something needs to happen the next show or I'm going to totally lose interest.
