Those punks gave them no choice. Reks and Hawkins are like the NXT Awesome Truth. Which is...a funny concept, to say the least. In hindsight I think it was a missed boat that they didn't make a Miz/Truth/Hawkins/Reks stable. |

I was at the show, and there are a couple of things that weren't mentioned.
-There was a backstage segment where NXT's new security duo talked backstage with Maxine and Johnny Curtis. Maxine was all smiles, which totally weirded Curtis out. Reks and Hawkins somehow got the handcuff key, which Johnny Curtis then used to free himself from Maxine.
-There was another backstage segment where Kaitlyn was talking to Percy Watson about how she thinks he's not the one behind the attacks. Derrick Bateman came up and told her that it was dangerous to talk to Percy, which ticked Kaitlyn off over him being oddly possesive. Eventually Bateman went off, and after a few seconds of talking, Percy went to get ready for his match. Kaitlyn talked to herself about the attacks before saying "Wait... Why am I talking to myself?" and she then heard a crash. She ran back to find Bateman holding his stomach in pain, and she asked if he saw who did it, before picking up Percy's old signature glasses off the ground.
-After the main event tag match, Hawkins and Reks came down and got in Percy and Tyson's faces. They knocked Tyson down with a punch and then grabbed Percy by the arms, dragging him to the back to secure him to keep him from attacking anyone else. The show ended with Tyson getting up and running backstage.
On the subject of JTG and Alicia, JTG was a cocky heel, but Alicia still acted like a face.
They really need to push Tyson Kidd. That guy puts more into every match than anyone else. For my money he's the most well-rounded wrestler between the ropes, and he can really get a crowd into it. After hitting a springboard to the outside, he lept up on the barricade and played to the fans to get them to chant his name. It was great.

Bateman. It's Bateman behind the attacks. Bateman. What would Bateman's motive be? I can understand anyone attacking Riley out of jealousy of his sustained over-ness with the fans, but why would he attack Percy, and then frame him for the other attacks. |
