Shuma and Jill were NOT DLC characters. They were on the f***ing disc, you paid $5 each for their unlock keys, that is not how DLC works. You didn't download content, you downloaded access to content you already had. So Capcom did not give us the promised DLC characters. And it is totally underhanded. Yeah I know I could not buy it(and I'm not, because it is bullshit and is underhanded), but you do not, under any circumstances, try this kind of milking of your fanbase. They promised us actual DLC characters and instead held them back just to drain more cash from us.

Though keep this in mind. If each DLC character is $5 (and they would be), you'd be paying $60 for 12 new characters, instead of 40.

Nova is one of the Marvel Cosmic characters and was Galactus's herald at one point, IIRC. I think the new list of combatants is pretty interesting, and like I said before, in an age where we get rereleases every year of the same game with new paint in the form of SvR and the EA sports games, I don't really care of Capcom is doing it. But this is a rerelease in the same f***ing year that the original version came out in. That is beyond ridiculous and absolutely screams of a money grab. And I really just don't care that they did. Gamers have created this environment. They have been pumping money into Activision's and EA's efforts to flood the market with yearly ports and indistinguishable games. So the fact that Capcom is doing what they've always done and are releasing a new game instead of DLC doesn't really bother me. You're only getting screwed if you choose to buy a game, and no one is forcing it. Fans have advocated feeble "boycotts" that never have any teeth (ie: I'm going to boycott them... except for the games I want.) But This is the environment they created. That's why Madden is the same game year after year, it's why we will see dozens of generic FPS games, and it's why they were once releasing several Guitar Hero games a year before the fans finally wised up.

And boom you got your DLC. And it is totally underhanded. And f*** they're saving you money doing it like this in the first place.

I was originally going to say what was on my mind, but it probably would've gotten me banned, so I'll just say this, keep blindly following Capcom, they love guys like you. For me, I'm done with this company.

What stopped them from putting these guys in the original release in the first place?

What stopped them from putting these guys in the original release in the first place? Probably the same thing that always prevents characters from being put in, time. Same thing with Tekken 5. They have to get games out in a certain amount of time, and that means some things get scrapped. It happens with every company.

Yeah it would piss people off, but it wouldn't piss them off like they are now. If they've waited this long to release MvC3, why not wait a little bit longer to make it that much better?

Because that's just not how the entertainment industry works, in any field, and never has been. There's a reason for deadlines in the first place, they have others to answer to, they have stockholders, investors, and yes, even the general public.

Glad i did not purchase this originally because even before the original game release i read people predicting this would happen.
So on that note what are the odds there will be yet another interation after this one?

I just fail to see the good in not only wasting 60 bucks on an incomplete game you will release fully later on, a bit cheaper as well especially when the announcement makes the original copies drop resale value worse than any bad review ever could. It happened with Street Fighter 4, and now it's happening again with MVC3

Why not just release it as a DLC expansion update? If they can do that with SFIV:AE, they can do that with this. It would've been received better as well. That way, you don't make people that already purchased the game buy it again.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIf6mEi6Z1kBoo Ouroboros does no chip damage, hope that changes because right now it's not looking to hot. Why not just release it as a DLC expansion update? If they can do that with SFIV:AE, they can do that with this. It would've been received better as well. That way, you don't make people that already purchased the game buy it again. What's the difference? Seriously I really wanna know what the difference would be between buying it as disk or buying it as DLC.
