So, if LSU absolutely clobbers Bama, will the people who voted for the rematch be regretting their decision? Maybe some of them. I wouldn't though. It's supposed to be the two best teams. Not two best conference champions. I think these are the two best teams. I'd have been more pissed off if the voters (who keep openly admitting they think Bama is better) voted on what they wanted, and not what they thought was the best two teams. That would be even more corrupt to me than this already corrupt system is. Bame being the second best team is always going to be debatable, whether you like it or not.

But they have to vote on who they think the two best teams are. That's what they did.

The BCS just put themselves in a no-win situation. If LSU wins, people will criticize the system, saying that Alabama was an undeserving opponent who didn't even play in their conference's championship. If Alabama wins, people will claim that they are an undeserving champion, as they had no right to be in the game to begin with.

Again, as I said last night, LSU-Alabama does NOT take away an undisputed Big 12 championship, getting the Bedlam monkey off their back, a clubbing of OU, cementing this four-year Okie State run as the best in team history, and a WORST-CASE BCS BOWL GAME. Speaking of Oklahoma, I just heard they're going to the Insight Bowl. They were beaten so badly even the higher-echelon Big 12 bowls didn't want them! True. This four year stretch has seen the Cowboys have no less than 9 wins in each year, and last year we were co-division champions. Mike Gundy has turned the program around from his start as the coach. At first he went 4-7, 7-6, and 7-6. Then, 9-4, 9-4, 11-2, and at worst 11-2 this year.

So, if LSU absolutely clobbers Bama, will the people who voted for the rematch be regretting their decision? If McCarron wets the bed against LSU and Weeden outduels Andrew Luck, yes. The national championship game- where hiding your quarterback wins!

BFeldmanCBS RT @wilnerhotline: LSU beat the No. 2, 6, 7, 18 & 23 teams (final AP). Only one game was at home. One of the best regular seasons EVER.

Well, guess I'll be skipping the Bowl games this year. The SEC bias is really obvious and IMO, completely undeserved this year. Besides LSU of course.

Wow, one of the guys just mentioned that TD that OKST gave up against Oklahoma late in the game that made the margin a little less extreme.
I wasn't kidding last night when I said some voters weren't even watching that game and that the margin would matter. I doubt that was the deciding factor, but the fact that it can even be brought up seriously right now is insane.

Also, we all might as well just watch CBS next season, because they'll be airing the only games that will matter.

I really hate the human element of this farce. In what other sport can bias and personal opinions affect a championship? I know rankings play a factor in other college sports, but at least they all have tournaments! The participants don't get voted into the title game. They fight there way in over the best teams the sport has to offer.

Every Game Counts... unless you're in the SEC, where the voters will bend over backwards!
McCarron vs. Jefferson- ugh. This is not worthy of a national title.
Blackmon is better than every Alabama offensive player not named Richardson. They have NO WR's that can beat you (at least in '09 you had Julio Jones).
This is the ''Hide Your Quarterback" game!

A talking head on ESPN actually saying there's something wrong with the system that put Alabama in ahead of Oklahoma State? I may faint.
