Perfect.
The intro with Bilbo and Frodo, the establishment of the dwarves, the shots of the dangers, and ending with Gollum and the Ring.
Can it be December 2012 now please?

Looks like I can safely retire my Rankin/Bass copy of The Hobbit now. Question is: can this possibly live up to the standards set by Lord of the Rings and the expectations?
In that regard, I am nervous.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure. Why must we wait a year for this to come out? Looks like I can safely retire my Rankin/Bass copy of The Hobbit now. Question is: can this possibly live up to the standards set by Lord of the Rings and the expectations? In that regard, I am nervous. I think it will. Peter Jackson has shown that he has great respect and admiration for Tolkeins works.

Looks awesome. While I was really curious to see how Guillermo Del Toro would have filmed it, I think it's probably for the best, continuity wise, that Jackson is helming this project.

Yeah, I was genuinely interested in Del Toro's take, given how different in tone The Hobbit is from the main trilogy, but knowing that Jackson's in charge gives me a "safe" feeling. Absolutely cannot wait...a whole year? Entirely unfair.

I might be all alone on this but watching that does anyone else think that Martin Freeman is miscast? I'm not sure why i feel like that, but i don't think he fits here.
