I know there's a few CKY fans here so I thought I'd share So I've been following this for a while now. Basically from what I can piece together, Deron Miller has got a lot of personal issues going on and has been a jerk to the rest of the guys and has been making shows miserable for them, and they've been saying there's a good chance the band is over for a while. The band had a Christmas show a few days ago which was going to be a test run to see if they could still work together, but according to Jess Margera, the show was absolute crap. Jess's words: "i was seriously hoping for the best and i wanted to give this band one more try but it was a definite failure." So... Yeah. It looks like it's over. They still have a tour of Australia in February/March which I imagine will be extremely awkward for everybody and I'm reading that it might even get canceled. They're not even really talking about continuing the band without Deron so I'm guessing that won't happen. It's been a good run I'll miss you, CKY. In the spirit of the season, here... (language)

...CKY is an actual band? I honestly did not know that. I thought it was just the name for Bam Margera's crew. Well, it sucks that they had to break up due to one guy being a douche.

So does this make Deron one quite bitter being?

Apparently Chad's been a lot better in the last couple years, and Deron pretty much had a breakdown earlier this year. From what I understand, right now Chad really wants to continue the band, Deron hates Chad and wants to quit music altogether, Jess is just tired of everything going on right now, and Matty is up for whatever everybody else decides.

That sounds suspect to me, being as Deron just released an album with his side project World Under Blood not too long ago and had been touring with them. Regarding him wanting to quit music, anyway. As for the fate of CKY, we'll wait and see.

I've been keeping up with this. I love CKY. One of the better bands in the world today.
They've been having issues since at least 2006, with Deron walking off in the middle of the show, then going into rehab. Carver City was an ok album, at best, but you can hear the distance between those guys right there on the record.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with WUB with him, but he's said a lot of times that he wants to quit music, and a lot of other people have been saying that music brings out the worst in him and that he needs to quit. What that means for WUB, I'm not sure.

the problem - as far as i see it - with CKY was that they had a very limited sound. they didn't evolve at all, really, over the course of four (or five?) albums. once i had heard "96 quite bitter beings" and a few other songs, i had essentially heard the entire catalogue. a heavily distorted riff played ad infinitum, basically.
