In the Early 90s Owen Hart was paird with both Jim Neidhart and Koko B Ware. They wore baggy pants and didn't really achieve much else fame in WWF. What are your thoughts of both -High Energy (Koko and Owen) -New Foundation (Owen and Jim Neidhart) High Energy felt more fresh. New Foundation was like Jim Neidhart being repackaged from the Great Hart Foundation to being with Brets younger brother wearing their Pajamas.

I always felt that the New Foundation could have had some legs under it, with Neidhart being a tag team mainstay. Teaming with Koko seemed like a dead end because despite the fact that he was over with the crowd and a decent hand, he was a jobber to the stars in my eyes. I didn't see them ever winning the titles, whereas Owen would have had a better chance with Neidhart.

I liked both teams but neither would get close to Hart Foundation status. I think the New Foundation may have had a tag title run if Anvil stuck around but those titles were between Money Inc. and the Disasters for about a year. High Energy was the Young Stallions of 1992. Good guys but just can't get past the low card status. They didn't last long as a team. Probably the best thing that happened to Owen's career was going as a single again.

I liked High Energy as a kid. They would pop up in loads of random 8 man tags on various VHS releases.

The thing that drives me nuts about seeing High Energy now is that they came out to the song that later became Owen's heel theme. It's so weird seeing that used as a face theme because it's so much better well known as the heel theme. Also since it doesn't even sound like it particularly works as a face theme with the tone of it and all.

The all-too brief Hart Brothers tag team of Bret and Owen from late 93 to Rumble 94 has got them both beat. Great matches with The Steiner Brothers and The Quebecers.
The New Foundation felt like you missed it if you blinked. They were barely around for a few months if I'm remembering things correctly. I think Jim got released though, right? High Energy definitely was fresher and maybe could have even done more if they had a longer run. But I believe it was an injury to Owen that cut them short.

High Energy. I loved them as a kid, and Koko was somewhat better in the ring than Neidhart.
The New Foundation seemed like a lame re-tread of the Hart Foundation. Even the name "New Foundation" really sucked the big one.

High Energy for me because it has a better name.

I heard that Koko and Owen Hart, despite being a tag team, didn't talk much in real life. I'm sure that could've reflected their chemistry as a tag team. I prefer New Foundation because Jim and Owen seemed more appropriate together.

Any team named the "new" anything has a big strike against it right of the bat. Owen/Neidhart had more potential, but High Energy was together a lot longer and had a lot more fun matches.

I marked like crazy for Niedhart back then, and I thought Owen was a flippier version of Bret (which was/is a compliment) so my vote goes to the New Foundation. I think they should have eventually dropped the "New" and just been The Foundation; picking another name entirely would have helped a lot.
Actually, the same can be said for High Energy. Dug the team (although I still liked "The Anvil" better than Koko) but hated the name.
New Foundation had a better finisher, too.

I liked Owen and Anvil and I thought they could have gone further than they went in the end while High Energy was pretty much cannon fodder for upper carders. It wasn't until Owen turned heel and dropped the whole High Energy crap that he became a legitimate superstar.
