I am a pretty big fan of the Mythbusters, it is one of those shows that is just so weird and so out there that I find it interesting to watch. Even more interesting is the degree's they go to to try to test certain things, and I think that in this age where so much is said about education and the USA lacking in scientific research against the rest of the world, it is nice to see a show that takes things like chemistry, mechanics, engineering, etc. and makes them fun and interesting. But with that said, there are still plenty of myths they have yet to test, and I'm sure some of my fellow board members know of a few.
Myself, I still want to see them try "the corpse raft." This was featured in The Watchmen comic, and in an episode of Rome on HBO: a sailor shipwrecked on a deserted island notices the decaying bodies of his shipmates floating in the water as the natural gases from decomposition keeps them afloat, and in a desperate gamble he ties the bodies together to create a makeshift raft to get off the island. I imagine Adam and Jamie would probably fall back on the old fashioned pig carcasses to test this one, but still might be fun to see. Anyone go any others?

Well for a corpse raft they would have to get fresh corpses without embalming fluid and stuff. I just don't see that happening unless they use pigs. Which is usually their go to too dead animal for human body parts.
I just watched their moon landing episode and wasn't entirely happy with the myths they chose to do. I want them to re do that one as I saw recently on Fact or Faked way better experiments and I guess I just expected more from the mythbusters.

See I think it's a myth that random sex ruins a marriage. I'm willing to test that myth with Kari for science.

I want them to re do that one as I saw recently on Fact or Faked way better experiments and I guess I just expected more from the mythbusters. Will never happen. They consider most of the claims the conspiracy theorists have to be flat out stupid and the truth blindingly obvious. Based on their statements since the original Moon Landing show it seems like they feel embarressed they even went to NASA and did these myths in the first place, and also feel like they offended the NASA scientists by asking them the questions they did. In fact bringing up moon landing myths is one of the two topics that will get you an immediate ban on their Discovery.com message boards (the other being 9/11 myths). My idea for a myth to test - that it's just naturally hilarious to launch a cannon ball into an unprepared suburban neighborhood without any warning.

That's pretty interesting that they would ban you just for bringing it up. Almost as if they are covering something up lol J/K...But they chose the dumbest and seemingly easiest to prove/disprove. Like it wouldn't have hurt to look into the crater situation. They did recreate the astronauts movement while on the moon but it wasn't "fluid" enough or something. However the footage that is questioned most is that of one astronaut helping another up from falling down and he pops up in reverse it seems. Fact or Faked replicated it exactly. The fact that they didn't really take any of the difficult stuff for the show made it seem lackluster. I did like to see the flag momentum moving in the vacuum cause I always thought it was weird the way it moved as well. The boot print was so simple it wasn't worth the time on the show. It should have been an online exclusive or something and supplemented with something a little more significant.

I know you're just joking, but I just wanted to mention why this happened in their defense. Almost immediately after the episode aired their message boards got bombarded non-stop with people saying "you did this or that wrong" or "that doesn't make sense", and then backing up their claims with bad science and false facts. A ton of new people signed up for their message boards just to argue about what the show did. Mods and other posters tried to handle the situation civily, reasonably countering their arguments and explaining why things were done, but in the end conpiracy theorists aren't known for their ability to handle things reasonably and the situation quickly got out of control. The mods just decided the best thing to do was ban the subject outright.

Does masturbation really make you go blind/grow hair on your palms? Just give me a couple minutes and I'll bust it... Alright, seriously, the myth I want to see busted... Is it really impossible to beat Undertaker in WWF Raw without using the combo he and Paul Bearer revealed exclusively on Coliseum Video? ;D

I can't remember the last time I caught a new episode. I watched the moon landing episode because of the fact or faked episode. I can understand the ban hammer as being necessary in that regard, but I am very glad to hear that there were enough people out there like myself who didn't buy into that episode. Not to say I am one of those who argue we didn't go to the moon. Im pretty sure we did, but that was not their best efforts. Fact or Faked is d list compared to the mythbusters and they blew their moon landing stuff out of the water.

Eh, I soured from the show after the bullets shot in the air episode. Steadfastly not believing it could happen despite experts actually coming in and saying, yes, yes it has. The Busters just came off as douchebags.
