Not really a Myth
I want to see if they can make a refrigerator out of 19th century technology like Doc Brown's in Back To The Future III

I am pretty sure the one about firing guns into the air "busted" the myth, but they admitted there are documented cases of it happening.
Or am I mis-remembering?

I think it was there was proof of people firing into the air (at a slight angle) and it killing people but, no proof of them firing straight up vertical and killing people per the myth.

Does a human head live for 30 seconds after it has been separated from the body.
Is my suggestion.

Regarding the bullet episode, there seems to be some info that people are forgetting. The myth explicitly being tested was that a bullet fired straight up (ie 90 degree angle) will maintain their velocity coming down and fatality injure a person. It was also the only myth that was given a status of Busted, Plausible, AND Confirmed. Here's why:
The reason for Busted: - When fired straight up and falling straight down, the bullets fall on their side instead of point first. The terminal velocity of said bullet coming down was only at 150 ft per second or about 102 miles per hour. They did a worst case scenario where the bullet would be fired at terminal velocity point first into a pig's skull. While they did pierce the flesh a little, there was no skull fracture. The end tests showed them dropping the bullets from a predetermined height. It reconfirmed that the bullets do fall on their side and it had very little penetration hitting the ground (about 2 inches in the soft sand.) Ergo, bullets fired straight up lack the velocity to kill a person.
The reason for Plausible: - They determined (with some help from the expert doctor they had) that a person is more likely to hold the gun at a slight angle instead of straight up. This will let the bullet maintain a ballistic trajectory, which will help it maintain a lethal velocity. This was also confirmed from the cases they showed that people were injured from bullets fired up at a angle, in one case 1.5 miles away from where the gun was fired. (And I think there were two recent cases where more people got injured from bullets being fired up, can't find the stories though.)
The reason for Confirmed: - One of the cases was a confirmed fatality due to bullet piercing the skull and lodging into the brain. Again, this came from the shooter being a long ways away from where the person got hit at.
So there you go. Or for the tl;dr version: Bullets Fired Straight Up (90 degrees): Will not kill you. (Will probably hurt you.) Bullets Fired at an Angle: Can kill you.
