Ok, so I saw the trailer for this film when I went to see The Adventures of Tintin(great film, btw) today, and all I can say is....holy crap! Damn does this movie look good. Why the f*** has the hype for it been so quiet? This trailer was the first I ever even heard of the film. Even more amazing is, Cuba Gooding Jr. is in good films again?! Of course I'm an absolute sucker for World War II films, and the Tuskegee Airmen are one of my favorite aspects of WWII, so a film about them, well you know I'll be down for. So yeah, hurry up and come out, damn it! I want to see you!

I wonder if they are gonna go with the black leads or try to add a white character.

I wonder if they are gonna go with the black leads or try to add a white character. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard are the headlining names on the poster for the film. Hell, they are the only names at the top of the poster period. So thankfully it looks like black leads with Bryan Cranston's character being the main antagonist it looks like.

Cuba Gooding Jr in a Theatrical release? 2012 is the end times. And not just a theatrical release, a theatrical release that looks to kick all kinds of ass.

It should not be forgotten that Cuba Gooding Jr, while making some weird role decisions, is still a damn good actor.

So yeah, hurry up and come out, damn it! I want to see you! I think there already is a film called "The Tuskegee Airmen" which aired on HBO back in the mid 1990s. I remember watching that in my history class back in middle school, and I think Cuba Gooding Jr. was also in that movie, along with this new one.

You think with Lucas involved there be a little more hype for it I can't see it being successful since it is being released in 17 days, there have been no TV commercials, and this is the first I've heard of it.

Funnily enough, I saw an ad for it tonight during the Fiesta Bowl. However the ad had a completely different feel from the trailer(s), which are epic and emotionally charged. The ad had f***ing rock music playing over it and focused nearly 100% on aerial combat, not a single mention about the hardships these pilots went through, not a single mention of the racism against them, nothing. The ad honestly looked like it was for a Michael Bay film based on the Tuskegee Airmen.

The lack of ads baffles me too because it looks like a fun, family movie that people could see with their parents or something. It looks like it would make money.
Maybe something went horribly wrong in the editing room?
