Example one is pretty self explanatory. Basically a day that doesn't go right at all. You wake up late, then you miss the bus, you're late for work, you're stuck working two shifts, etc.
Example 2 is something like this: You find $100 on the street and then a gold watch. You then think this is the greatest day when you get off the bus, it turns out somebody took your wallet with that hundred you just found, then it starts to rain which rusts and breaks the watch you found, your cell phone battery dies, etc.
So what kind of bad day do you think is worse?

I have had my share of moments of Example 2. I had a good day a few times, only for it to suddenly become a bad day. That is worse in my opinion, though example 1 can still be a really bad day.

Example #2, by far. At least if a day is shitty from the start, it's really no surprise. But when life hands you happiness one minute and then slaps you in the face the next, there's nothing worse than that.

Be the first option really. Second one, easy come, easy go. At least you had a few bright spots.
