Just finished it, and I thought it was amazing!
I've never been sucked into a series that quickly, and grown to hate so many main characters so thoroughly.
Anyone else loving it?

I don't think I've ever seen a more on-the-nose adaptation of a book in my life.

Loved it and love the books. Hope they keep it going. HBO has a habit of canning shows that ate popular but expensive to produce. I'd hate to see the bill for clash of kings

Right there with you. I remember it well.
First Episode: Meh, not sure what all the fuss is about, at least the episode is almost ov-HOLY SHIT!!!!
Then I blacked out and woke to find I had been glued to the TV, had inside jokes with friends, read 88% of the books and renamed my dog Ghost.

Jagilki, your screen name sounds Dothraki. But I do have a guess about the episode u ate referring to. Do Tyrion and Joff figure prominently?

Excellent adaptation, and by far my favorite choice of casting - besides the obvious, and Peter Dinklage - is Charles Dance as the land's beloved Lord of Casterly Rock. Granted, I have my biases. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

The first series was so true to the first book, but they can't possibly stay that loyal to the books and manage to keep the series coherent. Expect this series to have a bit more deviate from the books and come the forth/fifth seasons, if they get there, I think they'll be very different to the corresponding books.

Overall it is great. The only casting choice I didn't really care for was Robb.
Cersei also had this look on her face all the time that got tiresome.
After reading the first book followed by watching the series, I read the rest of the books. They are just so damn good.

I can't wait for one certain episode of season 2. Book readers know which. Been a bit since I read book 2 {Spoiler}The sea battle with the fire? Ya know, I love these books. Not 100% sure why. Theres so many characters that a lot of times I get confused as hell lol. I've never read a series I cant keep total track of and still love. But I'll be dammned if I cant stop reading.
