I really like the site guys! Great Work! Now how do we get Miz to start posting here? I'm honestly considering sending him the link on Twitter.

I was gonna wait for someone else to say this first, and it just so happened to be Citten...so, cool. Anyways, I do appreciate the hard work you guys have put into the site and the forums, but the only reason I really come to these forums is for one thing, wrestling. I understand that wrestling will still be a focal point of the site, but I preferred it much most when it was the strongest one. I‘m not going anywhere just yet, I‘m going to wait it out and see if it turns out for the better. That's kind of how I feel. I mean, I searched for years for a wrestling site to join, and when I found this one it was like heaven for me because of the atmosphere. I'm mostly just scared that the focus is going to slowly drift away from wrestling. There's really nowhere else for wrestling fans like me who just like to joke around. I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Oh well. We‘ll see what happens.

To use the first Simpsons quote of the new era: Itchy and Scratchy (representing wrestling) will still have a home here. And it will still be a big part of the forum. Only it's no longer going to be the main part.

I like how you rearranged the letters of my name then added words to come up with your site name. I want cookies.

Exactly. Just take solice in the fact that this new site is going to lead to nothing but good things for the forum. So the boards didn't get some big boost tonight as well? It'll be soon enough. So are we going to endure dull hype until then? Just get it over with and make all the changes at once. If it doesn't affect the board I don't care. The website could be linked to McDonalds.com. Don't make it seem like the world will change when we log on and it's a tiny difference. Get it over with. And Macho Dude, thank you. Slik, let me try this from a different angle: *ALL* of the changes we plan are going to be somewhat impossible to make "all at once." Perhaps I should have been more clear on something regarding the URL change - Proboards allows only a very small amount of time between such changes for URL redirection. I'm sorry you're impatient, but I'm not going to leave a lot of posters who only come here a couple times a month wondering what happened and why the board doesn't exist anymore because we moved while they were gone. Some of the changes will be built around aspects of the new site, a lot of which are still being formed and ironed out. A lot of it will be manual by-hand adjusting and changing things, which will take several days' worth of time and isn't something that can all be done with the punch of a couple of buttons on the keyboard. Now, I'm asking you very kindly - you've made your opinion known here, multiple times, and you're adding nothing to it in the process; if you have nothing else to add to this particular discussion that isn't the same thing you posted in your first post, you might want to quietly back out of it now. If you aren't happy with what we're in the midst of doing, I'm sorry, can't really do much to help you there. To each their own.

The one thing I can promise is that nothing is going to affect the wrestling discussion on these forums. I understand that change can be nerve wracking when every thing is familiar and comfortable, but don't get us twisted with what's going on. The wrestling forums will remain the same way they are now. None of the changes will take away from the wrestling discussion any more than Off-Topic or the Game Forum do now. There is zero to worry about in this regard.

Hell remember when we moved TNA discussion out of (w)rest and how nervous everyone was it was gonna kill WoW? The wrestling community is too strong for it to weaken any over this.

Wasn't the only hype a little message that said "A CHANGE IS COMING"?
If so, I don't see how that's promising an earth-shattering, bowel-shaking movement. A new website is more than I was expecting.

No offense, Madison, but this just makes you come off as a douche. Sarcasm is a great tool for humor, if you use it properly, which I don't think you're doing very well in this case. You just come off as someone who wants to insult the new guy who doesn't "get it". (yeah I know, slik isn't new to the boards!) I would have expected better from a mod. We've explained several times in this thread what we're doing and he keeps coming back with things we've already discussed. I asked him to read those posts and he continues on about things we've already explained. You know me by now, I hope. I wouldn't have said something like that if I didn't feel it was justified. A lot of people are posting opinions here that are somewhat negative, the name change being the biggest, but I have no problem with that. I knew we were going to have some backlash. I just think his particular continual backlash is one that doesn't justify itself given what we've already discussed here. My issue wasn't with what you said, but how you said it. And for a board that have taken great pride in treating its members with sincerity and respect, I just feel this was the wrong way to react, especially for a mod.

Hell, there's a very good possibility there will be even MORE wrestling discussion soon, as we're working on things like interviews and such for the site.

Honestly it was us posters doing the hype more than the actual staff.

I realise that the intent is to maintain wrestling as being a large focus of the site/board/whatever, but that can't be guaranteed. No one webmaster or admin can force board culture to remain as it is. Furthermore, as the two lead guys in charge of this whole enterprise are, self-admittedly, not big wrestling fans these days, this can come across a bit as throwing a bone to some people. And a lot of the reassurances do come off like that. That's not anyone's fault.

I can't speak for everybody, but I got the weirdest looks when I said I posted on "The 'Crap" forums. I highly doubt I'll get any when I say I do so on the FAN forums. As did I. Which, when talking to my GF or most other people, is why I just referred to this place as "The Forum". Yeah,I called it "The Forum" as well,I'll probably still call it that, because calling it FAN Forums sounds a little generic,no offense to anyone, just my thoughts.

WWE Current is generally the most viewed board on the forums. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Digging the site so far, for sure. I'm still not overly fond of the name, but that's honestly a nitpick.
I'm stoked for the coming changes, and I'm looking forward to the site getting even better.
