It's not Del Rio's fault that storylines and pay-per-views came up so frequently lately. I mean back in July, the whole MITB stuff wasn't expected and it would have been Cena vs. Del Rio at SummerSlam. Now we're a few months ahead and it doesn't seem to make sense.

I think he's exceptional, and one of the best parts of the show.

The booking of Alberto Del Rio in the main event scene has been bone headed since December. Having his first world title match be in a throwaway 4 way match at TLC. Having him lose cleanly in the Wrestlemania opener. Having him win his first world title via MITB instead of a properly built up one on one match. Having him lose the title to Cena at the next PPV and then reclaim it 2 weeks after that.

I don't usually pay attention to crowd reactions, but I think they have really misused Del Rio recently. I know he's the WWE champion and all, but they've been making him look like somewhat of a coward and an afterthought since he's cashed in his briefcase.
If I'm not mistaken, he only won 2 matches on Raw during his first reign. Then he ran away during the tag match with Ricardo. On the Raw before his title defense against Cena, he ran in immediately after Cena beat Swagger to sneak attack him, only to get an AA and roll back out. Then 6 days later, he tapped out on his first PPV defense. He doesn't really feel like a big deal anymore. And he'll likely lose the championship again, fairly quick, since I can't see him beating Cena at Vengeance.

I hope it is because they're going to Mexico, by that logic Barrett (or Regal) should be champ when they next come to England and Yoshi Tatsu will have the belt if they go to Japan.

I use to be a huge mark for ADR, but in all honesty I'm starting to lose interest because of the terrible booking.

He's had his heat doused so much in the last year that I think some people struggle to take the guy seriously as Champion, I know I do.
I want to take him seriously but he's already stale and he's only been around just over a year.

I like ADR but its hard to to build a heel when the two guys he has feuded with have either bounced around between face and heel several times in the past year or likes to tell fruity peebles fart jokes.

Yeah,he's not that over.Even when he interrupted Stone Cold the fans barely reacted to him and he got no reaction when he won the WWE Title again.
People can say the crowd died at the end all they want but CM Punk was over during his match vs Del Rio,HHH was over when he ran out and R-Truth got a huge "R-Truth sucks" chant and Miz drew heat too.

I don't mind Del Rio. He's not one of my fav guys on the roster but he's by no means someone who I can't stand.
He's good in the ring and got a good luck. I think he just needs to add a bit more to his character and cut better, more meaningful promos since many of them are kinda forgettable and even a bit boring at times.

I like Del Rio. I just wish he wasn't booked in a feud with Cena. Makes me think he's gonna lose at any second.

Ricardo Rodriguez is Del Rio's crutch. W/O that little announcer guy his heel act is not nearly as effective. This happened after Big Show put Ric Rod down back in May or so.
I'm not a booker, but your top guy's act shouldn't need to be carried.
They need to use this angle to turn the guy face and freshen him up/flesh him out--just one of those hard turns that come out of nowhere. Like he teases joining in while Miz and Truth are beating up Zack Ryder, then knocks Miz and Truth out.

I can't say no one cares about him, but I sure as hell don't.
I don't know what they see in him. Trade Cody for him. Del Rio as Intercontinental champ I could live with. Him being "the man" is horrible. Cody or Dolph are better prepared, they should have gotten to step up.

Del Rio is awesome. They should have given him the WHC on his first try.

They should find some way to have Miz and R-Truth be co-holders of the championship, since they're both way more over than Del Rio. Maybe you could have them mockingly trade the title back and forth to purposefully devalue it and get ridiculously high reign counts, I dunno. It's gotta be more interesting than this.

The stop and start nature of Del Rio has completely killed his momentum, to to mention the fact that he's being overshadowed by pretty much everything else.
Say what you will about Miz being overlooked from EC to Mania, but at least before and after he was considered the guy and he was beating up Cena every week. Let's look at Del Rio:
-He won MITB, but the big focus was on Punk/Cena. -Cashes in at SS, but the big intrigue is on Nash/HHH/Punk -In the build to NOC, he gets nothing from it, and taps cleanly to Cena. -Is the third wheel in the triple threat; title win is followed by a heel beatdown by Awesome Truth -The walkout is largely engineered by the Bringers of Change than him. -Main events Raw, but walks out and it ends with Miz/Truth vs. HHH/Punk
At no point have even gotten close to the "Del Rio" era or felt like he was the person to talk about. Compare that to Mark Henry who destroyed people for months and took the belt from Orton clean exactly as he said he would. Folks, depending on how you look at it, Del Rio is WWE champion... and he's the fourth ranking heel behind Ace, Truth, and Miz. That tells you everything right there.
