I don't care how many times it's happened, the world champion fighting for the right to wrestle on PPV is stupid. He's not fighting for the right to wrestle at the PPV. He's fighting for the right to still be champion!! So they're announcing that he will be defending his title after it's already been announced that Randy Orton has invoked his rematch clause. Then why would anyone care about that match since it's pretty obvious who's going to win?

I don't see what the big deal is. Its happened tons of times before. Number 1 contender is named for PPV. Unannounced title match with another guy happens on TV. Number 1 contender still keeps the shot and face whoever wins. I don't care how many times it's happened, the world champion fighting for the right to wrestle on PPV is stupid. Especially when he won in such a convincing fashion. "Hey, Mark, remember when you pimp-slapped Randy Orton last week and took his belt? Well, if you want the privilege of facing him again you have to defend your title first."

Triple H threw a curveball and made Henry/Christian for the title, and Orton still keeps his HIAC shot.

It's also very possible they could have went with a screwjob ending making the match a 3-way at the PPV (as some predicted here in this thread).

Whoever's been booking Bryan should be fired. They're doing a s*** job and it's disgusting, boring, and unintelligent. I refuse to watch SmackDown until Bryan gets a real win, not a crap DQ win. He's actually booked well. He's almost always on every week, and competitive in almost every match. He hasn't been getting squashed or anything. While he's buried on commentary. If he was winning and proving commentary wrong it's one thing, Cole sits there and rags on him while he loses week after week. I reiterate, the person who's been writing for Bryan needs to be fired.

Why not just pull the trigger and have a 2nd Triple Threat HIAC Match? Hell, make it a Fatal Four Way and throw in Sheamus.

In fact, if Christian won you can say that Triple H would have helped Orton as he'd have to face Christian at the PPV instead of Henry.

Yeah, Christian needs to start winning matches and looking strong before he can ever get another shot the way he's been booked. And as you can see from my AV, you can probably guess how I feel about that.

This guy sucks, he needs to go. The matches have been okay since then. But like you've pointed out, the writing speaks for itself. I am still over the moon that Henry is champion.

Daniel Jobbin' jobs again. None are surprised less than me.
Trust me, nobody in the general audience is going to remember that Bryan gave competitive efforts in his matches. They're only going to remember that a) Bryan loses all the time b) Cole rags on him for being boring and for being a massive loser and c) because he loses all the time, Cole is probably right about his being a loser and, correspondingly, about him being a boring geek who fluked into a big win.
Being competitive isn't enough if you never win. Colin Delaney gave a good fight in the build up to winning an ECW contract. But he was still the jobbingest jobber who ever jobbed.

*Sin Cara defeated Daniel Bryan. The other Cara came out and nailed the Cara that started the match, then took his place and won. Sin Cara's personal jobber, ladies and gentlemen.

Took a little remembering of the name, but Ed Koskey is SmackDown's current head writer. For some reason, this hack has been working for WWE for almost 10 years. He must have been the one that took Funaki's photos of Vince naked, because this guy is just terrible.

Christian offering Sheamus a potato as a peace offering could be the most awesome thing ever to happen on Smackdown, since Khali offered Big Show a goat.Fixed.

Smackdown is the better written, more logical of the two shows.
I don't mean this to troll, but you gotta realize Danielson has a ceiling in the WWE and basically everyone in the WWE that isn't a main eventer, is a jobber.
If you think Danielson has it bad, you should see what's happened to Morrison over the last month or so. lol.

I disagree completely, I've actually been enjoying RAW far more than SmackDown since SummerSlam. Not only because I prefer the live format, but the show is just more entertaining. It shows in the attendance too.
It's more than just Bryan, I just haven't cared about SmackDown since SummerSlam, hell, I'll go as far to say as I haven't cared since they started ruining Christian.
