2) the old man's lost his damn mind. Vince lost his mind over a decade ago. By this point I'd say he would be beyond crazy and senile now.

This is crap if you ask me - written by someone who just wants to be a deep throat. Like Vince wouldn't know, or be daft enough to think that this one comment would blow the lid on his return. Vince McMahon once tried to force Court Bauer into a spontaneous drag race and run him off the Stamford freeway so he could 'win'. Rational thinking left him a long time ago.

This is newz. Therefore, I will make fun of every single person that believes this instead of playing along and imagining the mental image of Vince McMahon yelling at someone that mentions him on TV

This is a guy who had no idea who what POTC was , was involved in a storyline where he got blown up , involved in a storyline where he kidnapped his own daughter. Why is this beyond anything he would do?

Sorry, was being lightharded and sarcastic. This does sound like something he would do, and I take a "wait and see" approach to stories like this. Instead of proclaiming it to be newz before it even hits the web

Vince is on his way to some high blood pressure problems if he keeps getting this pissed off about everything backstage.
And yeah, I highly doubt this is "newz" Tons of people have mentioned over the years that Vince has a problem with yelling at his announcers, yelling at the Creative team, and yelling at pretty much anyone he feels like. Unless it's just some urban legend that everyone who has ever worked there likes to spread around then it's hard for there not to be some truth to it considering how often it's brought up.

why do I get the feeling that Vince is the kind of man who makes outrageous claims like he invented the question mark, and sometimes accuses chestnuts of being lazy? He suffers from the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

A 66 year old Billionaire still working and throwing hissy fits backstage.. For f*** sakes vince just retire already. Wrestling will go on just fine without you. . Wrestling will always be around in some form or another.

If true, it's not like Del Rio ruined a big surprise.
Look guys! It's Vince McMahon! I can't believe that he's back! Who would've expected that!?!
I mean, really. If he came back, who would be surprised? Let's make him the head of the conspiracy too; as well as the guy behind the "Bigger Picture". He sent the text and he was the anonymous GM.
Vince McMahon was also supposed to be Mr. America and he's the reason that C.M. Punk can't have his ice cream bars.

He and Lagana have some really interesting stories about not only him, but Steph as well apparently.

Given everything that is said about how Vince runs things, how did that even air if he didn't want it to air? Because it's a live show. If someone was on live TV and wanted to say "my boogers taste like banana cream pie!" they could probably do it because there's no way to edit it out.

But why did they just happen to abort the gimmick and story JUST before Dead Man's Chest came out that year (July 2006)? If Vince didn't like it, why'd he let it stay around for so long (March through June '06)? It's no coincidence. I say they just pulled out before Disney could sue over likenesses.

Vince has a HUGE empire to run. He can't pay attention to every little thing. Hell, he didn't even know Jimmy Yang had been fired when he ran into him at a show when Yang was visiting friends. He then hired him back on the spot. Nothing involving Vince is outside the realm of possibility.

Several WWE Writers on F4W and Observer have confirmed that story. So, ya, wrong. Vince lives in a bubble. He's a workaholic, who when not working, he's working out. Triple H in countless interviews has suggested as much, too. It's why it's so hard to work under the guy. He holds everyone to his own strange standard.

Several WWE Writers on F4W and Observer have confirmed that story. Name them. Would it convince you if I did? (Lagana was one; listen to the F4W archives during WrestleMania week for the others). Or would you still cling to your personal opinions/deductions without a shred of evidence? That's a real theme around here. Some stories are false -- no doubt about it. But the kneejerk opinions passed off as fact is getting a little tiresome. "I'm going to have to call bullshit on that one!" some person says. YOU? You're calling BS? Why? Who are you, with your extensive knowledge of wrestling's inner-workings from your computer-chair soapbox? And why are your opinions so valid that they cancel out stories that could, in some cases, be just as much true as untrue. And I'm not talking about MVP Screwdriver here. I'm talking run of the mill stories about how nightmarishly unorganized and unprofessional their creative is. How many employees have to come forward before people start admitting that maybe, just maybe, shit's ridiculous there? And I'm not singling you out, bro; and you weren't my example. It's just fast turning into a major pet peeve of mine. No one HAS to believe anything (Unless it's factually backed up with example; then you HAVE to concede); but don't shit on everything when you have no proof to the contrary either.

If Vince didn't like it, why'd he let it stay around for so long (March through June '06)? It's no coincidence. Scott Hall stated in an interview that when he pitched the Razor Ramon gimmick to McMahon and Patterson, they had no idea that he was pretty much doing an impersonation of Al Pacino in Scarface. They were impressed with how "original" his gimmick was Vince McMahon is a self-proclaimed workaholic. It certainly doesn't surprise me if he doesn't have a firm grasp of pop culture (Except that story of McMahon wanting the late Ray Combs as guest host. That just sounds silly)

Dave Lagana said Vince McMahon is out of touch.
The guy's almost as nuts as Vince.
You wanna know who I am? I'll tell you who I am:
I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!
All jokes aside, you know who I am?
A guy who thinks that a millionaire businessman who works in an ever expanding entertainment (whose children, Shane and Steph are also businesspeople and work FOR him), would have a grasp of the entertainment world around him.
It's what any normal person would expect to be the case. THAT'S my evidence.
As for the rest of your post, this forum ain't perfect, but you can't possibly think posters here are wrong for doubting wrestling journalism.
I mean God damn, even you brought up the MVP screwdriver story. That's more damning than you think: they actually expected people to believe that sensationalist nonsense. You shouldn't have to sift wheat from chaff in real news.
You're defending folks whom you KNOW can be on a bulls*** agenda. Why?
I agree, Vince McMahon is crazy. I just refuse to believe he's, you know, outright retarded to the point where he's forgotten the basics of how to run a business.
The bolded, though, I believe that for sure. Yang was like bottom-tier jobber during both of his runs.
And yes, 4 months is a long time to not notice something that exists on your weekly programming. And if you don't like it, that's a long time to keep it on TV.
Supposedly Vince oversees stuff from behind the curtain, so he should at least know what is and isn't broadcast.
