Eve I halfway get (well not really, but the article in another thread gives me sort of a clue), but what's up with her beef with Nash? "Nash always seems to hurt people.....in the ring and out....." What's all that about? He once tore one of his quads while handing out soup at a homeless shelter and fell on top of a hobo with a broken leg. I WILL NOT let this be no-sold.

I don't remember Medusa Blayze being all that amazing herself, she was definitely solid and could have a good match but I was never blown away by her in her prime. I remember being a fan of hers when I was a child but that was before I knew what REAL wrestling talent was and why I now proudly have Kelly Kelly in my sig.I know about opinions and all that, but... Looks like someone is in need of a sarcasm detector.

I laughed at the comment about Nash being a 'sit down' comic

I can't be the only one thinking that this was going to be Chyna.

She responds. "@evemarietorres To answer some questions I have received, having a couple of photoshoots doesn't make you a "model". I was never a model. My degree is in engineering, & I pursued dance professionally for a while. Now I'm a WWE Diva & not going anywhere anytime soon. Deal with it! ;-) " Having a couple of photoshoots does make you a model. A part-time model, perhaps. But come on, if you get paid to look good wearing specific clothing, and what you're doing pales in comparison to how you look doing it, you're a model.

Thanks for letting me know how my brain works I think she meant "That is just how the man's brain thinks." The man in question being Nash.

I can't be the only one thinking that this was going to be Chyna. I would have respected it more coming from her. At least her reign was less than 20 years ago... Way to go Madeusa, throw it in the trash only to attempt to dig it out centuries later.

Then every Diva is a model. At least a part-time model, yes. And as long as John Laryngitis has a say, I suspect the ability and aptitude at the art of being a part-time model will continue to be a key hiring decision.

Yes the WWE does mainly hire women who were in the past models, but to say having a few photoshoots puts you in the same category as an actual professional model is crazy. If that were the case then every diva and every superstar is a model. Hell, by your logic that would mean that every top sports athlete would be considered a model as well, and to not be categorized as a model you'd have to have never had photo's taken of yourself in your entire life.

The real question is, how do you classify women who, before being hired by WWE, were working both as models and wrestlers (Nattie, Melina, Shelly and Mickie James being the examples I can think of off the bat)?

Well then Madusa in one herself in that case because she did the same things. She two had done photoshoots. I find it funny that she picked on Eve who I'm not a huge fans of but she is one of the more athletic divas they have. It she went off on Kelly Kelly then I agree with her more.

I really hate this notion that when someone from an older generation of performers are critical of performers today, they're immediately labeled as bitter or perhaps bridge-burners who are all of the sudden "irrelevant" or that their opinions don't matter anymore. Madusa wrestled in every major promotion in the U.S. during her time, carried womens wrestling in the u.s. at one point, wrestled in Japan, where women's wrestling was taken seriously and was a kick ass manager. I think if anyone is qualified to speak about the state of women's wrestling, it's Madusa. Just because Eve is liked by alot of people and has improved doesn't mean Madusa is wrong. Eve's still not as good as half of the girls who have stepped in the ring.

Doesn't make her right either. I mean "she should not be in a ring" is a bit extreme. Thats the type of statement you say when a wrestler is dangerous or something.

I find it odd this notion that someone who has done a lot for the business is always right when it comes to matters of professional wrestling. If that were the case, Hulk Hogan would have been able to turn TNA into a top wrestling promotion.

If that were the case, Hulk Hogan would have been able to turn TNA into a top wrestling promotion. I find it odd when everything has to be in absolute. These people are more than qualified to be able to comment on wrestling. No one said they are always right, but its not fair to label them as bitter or irrelevant just because you might not agree with their opinion. I think it's disrespectful to demean their accomplishments like they were nobodies because they aren't a fan of who you might like.
