Out of all the diva's on the roster to bash for their in-ring ability, why Eve? Edit: ^^ Heh, we think alike. Eve had the most recent PPV match, so I suppose she's trying to stay current (aka, she missed her chance to bash Kelly Kelly.)

I find it odd this notion that someone who has done a lot for the business is always right when it comes to matters of professional wrestling. If that were the case, Hulk Hogan would have been able to turn TNA into a top wrestling promotion. It's not that they're always right or always wrong, it's their experience being the reason used to justify/bash them. Just because someone had a lot of success, doesn't make them a bitter has been who knows nothing, or a wise old head who knows it all. I'm sure Medusa as a lot of valid criticisms and opinions, it's just this isn't one of them as the person she's picked is one of the better and improving talents they have.

I really hate this notion that when someone from an older generation of performers are critical of performers today, they're immediately labeled as bitter or perhaps bridge-burners who are all of the sudden "irrelevant" or that their opinions don't matter anymore. Madusa wrestled in every major promotion in the U.S. during her time, carried womens wrestling in the u.s. at one point, wrestled in Japan, where women's wrestling was taken seriously and was a kick ass manager. I think if anyone is qualified to speak about the state of women's wrestling, it's Madusa. Just because Eve is liked by alot of people and has improved doesn't mean Madusa is wrong. Eve's still not as good as half of the girls who have stepped in the ring. She's better than Kelly, Bellas and Rosa.

I never once bashed Medusa in this thread, as I know pretty much nothing about her, so I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by telling me this. I was just referring to the few people out there who think that just because a superstar/diva has done something for professional wrestling that their opinions are facts and shouldn't be criticized.

Before opening, I was hoping it'd be something from Harvey Wippleman.

Eve is easily in the top five for Diva in ring performers. Granted, this is because Michelle McCool, Melina and Gail Kim left but still.

Sorry, I was agreeing with you, I just don't like the blanket 'This person's old so they know nothing'/'This person's done a lot so they know everything'. Just some people have been using those arguments when they mean nothing and people and statements should be taken on their individual merit.

I have no quarrel with Madusa's talent or experience; I have a problem with her professionalism. Eve Torres, for whatever limitations she has - and I actually see few in her case - has been a credit to WWE as a performer and as a spokesperson. She's proven very good at selling the brand. While we may have stopped talking about workrate long ago, she's been improving in that area as well; I always thought of her as passable at worst in the ring.
Madusa at her prime anchored women's divisions and, had Vince held on to Sherri Martel and Luna a little while longer, could have had plenty of competition and built the brand in WWE. Even as things stood, the women's division was doing for WWE what the Cruiserweights were doing in WCW - exposing fans to styles from all over the world and solidifying cards. It's a shame that she chose WCW and sold her legacy for TimeWarner's dough. It's a bigger shame that, when neither Bret Hart nor Chris Benoit would have done that to the titles they left behind, she proved Vince's fears with her stunt with the Women's belt, and tarnished her legacy for good.
