I still believe he's holding it until Wrestlemania. Should he do that where would that put him in the all time list?

I don't think he'll beat Boston as cool as that would be. It would deny logic if he gets past Boston with the belt. Even the preview poster has Cena with the gold behind him so yeah.

I still believe he's holding it until Wrestlemania. Should he do that where would that put him in the all time list? 504 days, which would make him the longest reigning champion since Bob Backlund first reign. He would be ranked eighth in terms of combined reigns (beating Steve Austin but be a week behind Triple H).

If he holds it until TLC i believe he tops the never-ending Cena reign of 2006-07

I really hope he holds it until Wrestlemania, or at least Royal Rumble. If he can chalk up Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Rhodes, and a couple other guys. I'd be super satisfied, even though i'm satisfied already.
"A Best in the World Tour" T-Shirt would be awesome. Have a list of all of the people he defeated on the back. With a date and city attached to each name. In fact that might be a custom T-Shirt i will bring to Wrestlemania.

Getting to Night Of Champions will take him to 302 days for this reign, taking it past Yokozuna's 2nd reign, JBL's only reign, Cena's 1st reign, Ultimate Warrior's only reign and Superstar Billy Graham's only reign (still the longest reign by a man who was heel from start to finish without a turn) in terms of length. This will put him at the 12th longest reign of all time, and only the 8th man to get a reign over 300 days.
As there is still quite a gap to Brock Lesnar at 355 days, Punk would remain at his current position in terms of total days holding the belt.

I would love to see him get into the top ten, which would necessitate a 421 day cumulative reign. He's at 274 in his current reign, how long would he need to hold it to crack the top ten?

He'll actually get into the Top 10 for longest individual reign at 297 days (damn screwy Bob Backlund reign screwed up my stats AGAIN), so he just needs to get to Night Of Champions for that. For the Top 10 for cumulative reign, he'll need to hold it for 421 days... basically until the end of the year, give or take a few days.

There's no reason for him to drop the belt now unless his match with the Rock would be at WM instead of RR. It'd take him too long to get the stink of multiple jobs to Cena off, in time to be ready for the January PPV.

I hope they just accept that everyone loves CM Punk and turn him face.

I hope they just accept that everyone loves CM Punk and turn him face. Well, unless Rock comes back to work full-time, they're gonna have to abort this sooner or later, they are not getting what (I think) they want out of this. Probably because he's more over as a face than anyone that is going to get in his way on Raw? Yeah, Cena's probably more over overall, but as a FACE. I mean is he gonna get some heel heat off whining to some bad actress playing a GM character who freezes up and looks into outer space or skips down to the ring like a moron and takes 4 minutes to deliver a 3 word line? GM Stone Cold this is not.

I hope they just accept that everyone loves CM Punk and turn him face. Dunno why they even endeavored with this half-assed "heel turn" for him.

I just have the feeling that Survivor Series could be shaky ground for Punk. SS's star has faded but it's still a more recognisable name than the other around it and Vince just might look to do something notable on that show.

I hope they just accept that everyone loves CM Punk and turn him face. The problem for some reason they feel he has to be a heel to face the Rock, they are playcating this to the Rock, like when they turned HBK heel for no reason other than to appease Hogan. I am not saying the Rock is demanding that, though maybe he is, but it could also be those "great creative minds" in WWE creative, think Punk vs Rock as a face vs face match wouldn't sell.

Then turn him when it's time, not 5 freaking months beforehand. Now in their dumbassery they'll probably make him a stronger face and have a hard time doing what they're trying to do in the first place. I do think he can and will get heel heat off the Rock. But there's no one else on the roster he can get it off of. We saw how well the Cena thing is working out. Shit, he can't even get a proper beatdown in on him because the crowd will probably pop and Cena can't beat him down because the crowd will probably boo.

The funny thing about this is that the thing they were trying to do with Cena would actually work with Punk. Both guys have a devoted fanbase, and there would actually be a pretty even split. The "Team Rock" vs. "Team ____" would happen naturally without having to be forced like it was with Cena, and there would be a lot greater feeling of "old vs. new."
