so... I've been keeping up with Earth 2 (JSA was a favorite of mine, though I still really miss a lot of the characters who haven't shown up yet) and {Spoiler}apparently they killed off Alan Scott's boyfriend. so they introduce this guy just so he can be killed off... nice to see love interests still have a spot at the back of the Fridge, DC.

Marvel isn't done, yet! The publisher has just announced, by way of a fourth teaser debuting on MTV Geek, that Simon Spurrier and Tan Eng Huat will team in November on "X-Men: Legacy." This isn't confirmed, the image is below, and you can see where the idea is coming from though. Of course, when you step back and look at the titles that have been officially announced for Marvel NOW!, it's also possible the teaser refers to an entirely new series, possibly dealing with the Avengers, the Legacy Virus or something else altogether. ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1344002518.jpg) Marvel kicked off the week with word that Kieron Gillen and Greg Land are bringing their skills to "Invincible Iron Man", followed by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic tackling Thor's upcoming relaunch. Then, CBR had first word on Mark Waid and Leinil Francis Yu's upcoming "Indestructible" project, later revealed to be a Hulk reboot. Yesterday's culinary hint was, of course, for a Deadpool reboot with Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan on scripting duties with art by Tony Moore. Today, in addition to iFanboy's reveal of Rick Remender and John Romita Jr. taking over "Captain America," Marvel teased Matt Fraction and Mark Bagley taking on "Fantastic Four." And while there is no accompanying graphic, USA Today says it received a second teaser hinting that Fraction and Mike Allred will team on "FF." The rest of the images: ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1344002104.jpg) ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1343912804.jpg) ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1343831245.jpg) ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1343740910.jpg) ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1343740989.jpg) ![](http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1343999249.jpg)

Has there even been any backlash for him dying like that? I'm sure if it was another woman there'd be thousands of cries for DC's head by now.

I am glad Tony Daniel is leaving Detective Comics as a writer. I love his art. But I am ready for someone new on Detective Comics.

^But those guys aren't nearly the assholes BP is, so Storm wouldn't be interested.

or that new Ultimate Spider-man that nobody cares about? Half-black, half-Latino. Black Panther probably wouldn't even let him look at a map of Wakanda.

I've been thinking of working on a webcomic featuring superheroes who are blatant analogues of existing heroes, with a couple wrinkles thrown in. thanks to this discussion I'm thinking of including a Black Panther stand-in whose comically racist as a parody of Reg Hudlin's "take" on the character.

You mean the version Hudlin wrote wasn't a racist parody!?

no, it was, I'd just make it obvious that the character was a commentary on how I saw Hudlin's writing. I'm still kinda irked that Marvel never apologized for letting someone use one of their characters to espouse his personal hatemongering. I mean, at least DC said "no" when they read Frank Miller's scripts for "Holy Terror, Batman".

God I really hate how badly tainted BP is due to Hudlin. Ddue totally missed the point of BP and Wakanda completely and totally, all the way to making Wakanda a utopia of understanding and sceience when it sure as hell wasn't understanding ever. Seriously T'Challa had to walk on egg shells not to piss off one unruly tribe or anther and they were xenophobes like no other. Not this PARADISE OF BLACK HEROES Hudlin made it out to be. And yo Miles i awesome ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) But tragedy is an element of so many character origins. This would have been better received if it happened much later and we got to know more about him.
