And the Cards go 3-1 with a 9-3 win over the Brewers.

Punto: 3-for-6 with 3 RBIs. He's going to lead-off more often now, isn't he?

Being swept by the Rays is not how expected to start the season

Two run lead for Boston. Now when Cabrera hits a two-run blast in the bottom of the 11th, it'll only tie the game.

1st time over .500 since July 2009 for the Astros. YES! This is why I love early season baseball. Look at how happy all the Mariners, Pirates, Astros, etc. fans are. We got nothing else to be excited about until September when they call the prospects up, and even then that's not always exciting.

If Boston doesn't have the shift on against Fielder, that single is a GIDP and the game is over. This has all the makings of a horrible ending.

Avila walks off. Unbelievable.
All the bad mojo from September and this winter has carried over to the first weekend of 2012. So ridiculous.

I've never understood why teams shift so heavily against Prince. Sure, he hits into it sometimes, but he actually hits fairly evenly to all fields.

That loss hurts as much as any April 8th loss can.

mlb network is making it seem like the red sox and yankees being 0-3 is the end of the world There was another year the Yankees started 0-3. That year was 1998. I can't say I'm worried.

I can't wait to hear how Bobby V reacts if this continues. It won't be pretty.
