If WCW hadn't closed and wrestling still worked the way it did back in the 80's and 90's (territories, other major big promotions), how would that effect some of the big WWE superstars?
Would the 6 or so years with the same regime in place have happened, or would more options force change? Would John Cena have jumped ship a few years after the boos started and when ratings started going down? Would CM Punk have gotten his big break in WWE, or after he jumped to a still huge WCW and they allowed him to cut loose on the mic? Would he have jumped only for Hogan, Nash and Cena to say he doesn't have the look of a main eventer and not use him right anyways?

I don't think Cena would have jumped. He seems like a company guy through and through.
Bryan, Punk and the like would have been over in WCW way before they would have gone to WWE. Bryan would have been a perfect fit in the US/Cruiserweight division and Punk is the type of guy Bischoff loves. He would have let him have a mic on every Nitro ragging on the WWE.
Bischoff and Hogan are huge fans of Orton, so they would have tried to get him to jump ship.
Other than that, I don't think it really would have changed how WWE is run.

No Invasion, and as a result, no Brand Extension.

The only guys I can think would not have defected would be Austin, Undertaker, Cena, & Edge. Everyone else seems more like fair game.

No Invasion, and as a result, no Brand Extension. No TNA.
