of Batista? What if they never gave Orton the title at Summerslam, had him win the rumble and have Orton take the World title from HHH instead of Batista? Would Orton be the top guy instead of Cena?

That's a tough question. I think that at that time, Orton still had some maturity issues (remember the pooping in Amy Weber's purse episode?) so I'm not sure that Orton would've been the top guy instead of John Cena. Not saying that he would've been future endeavored or anything but top guy, really don't think so.

Depends, will he beat HHH in a career defining moment like Batista did at Vengeance 05? If so, I think it would be safe to say that he would have been a lot better off in 2005-2007 than he was after winning the World Title at Summerslam only to drop it to Hunter the next month.

Same relative spot... maybe a few more reigns to increase his number

He'd have gotten over as a face much sooner, and been higher on the card for a few years in there... but he still would've been quickly surpassed by Cena, and would probably be in the same spot on the roster that he's at right now.

She left due to ribbing in Japan when some whorehouse was using her picture. Orton poured lotion into one of the other short lived divas purses. My mind keeps thinking Lauren.

It's easy to forget now because is consistent mixed reaction, but Cena was the most popular guy in the company in 2004-Mid 2005. Even if Orton ended up "stealing" Batista's push, the same thing would've happened; Cena would be drafted to Raw and Orton to Smackdown. Cena didn't start actively getting booed until he started feuding with Kurt Angle in the fall of '05 (with Jericho, the crowd was just cheering for both.) .

The fact that the pooping in purse thing didn't really happen shouldn't stop anyone from referring to him as "Brown Bag Orton"
