I agree with Wrestlemania 25 & 27
expectations are always massive for any WM, and these 2 blew big-time
quality-wise, there might have been worse B-level PPV's (like Unforgiven 07)
Capitol Punishment had a few good matches going for it (Punk/Rey, Kofi/Dolph, Orton/Christian)

Between Taker / Triple H, Punk / Orton, and Cody / Mysterio, I don't see how anyone could think Mania 27 was anywhere close to one of the worst Manias ever. Still not great, mind you, but honestly most of the Manias aren't and if nothing else it has a leg up on 25. And in my opinion 26, but that one seems well-liked for some reason.

'Mania 25 for me. Total letdown. This is the problem when one match takes total precedence over the rest of the card, because we get half assed title matches (I doubt HHH/Orton and Cena/Edge/Show would make many people's list of good or memorable 'Mania matches).
Plus it had Kid Rock bumping a very good tag match off the card.

Mania 25 was saved by HBK/Taker.

Capitol Punishment. But it's worth mentioning that Hardcore Justice 2010 was worse than D2D.

Capitol Punishment just for the Fauxbama stuff. That was just awful. I honestly can't believe they thought that was a good idea. They just don't get it. Imposters NEVER work out for them. Ever.

I said it because most people consider D2D to be the worst PPV in wrestling history.Worst in WWE history? Pretty much. Worst in wrestling history? No way.

Post D2D, I'd have to say Wrestlemania 27. But, I think everyone is greatly underestimating the power of Great American Bash 2006 or as it's more commonly known, the elevated enzymes ppv.
GAB was a few months before D2D and it was a complete, atrocious joke. I was chunks of this recently and was laughing at Bobby Lashley and Great Khali being pulled from their matches due to elevated enzymes. The reason for Undertaker taking Khali's place was laughable and the match itself was even worse. The other matches were not memorable at all and only a handful of people on the card had any real talent. Don't get me started on the diva match.

When a match with 2 commentators & a throwaway "Celebrity" match bump a Championship match to the preshow, and a main event that serves as an ad for the next WrestleMania, then it's far from great.
