HHH vs Taker is first instead of Punk vs Cena?

Triple H/Taker was a good match, but holy hell have they hyped it into being something it was not.
Dissapointed there's no: Rey vs Miz Daniel Bryan vs Miz Cody vs Ziggler vs Bryan vs Ryder Ziggler vs Punk
There was a lot of awesome television matches this year. Hell, Miz easily had better television matches than PPVs.

Yeah, big lame here for Triple H vs Undertaker. Personally, number 2 is number 1.

I'm really irritated that they keep trying to put HHH/Taker on the same level as Taker/HBK every chance they get. Maybe if they didn't try to push this match's greatness down everyone's throats I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it.

The HHH sucking off/self sucking off is never going to end. He's going to come back every year for a long promo that says he's the best, kill a storyline, and have a mediocre match that'll win every slammy. Every single year. And they'll film whole episodes and not show them until after he's dead so they can still do it after he passes away.

Couldn't be bothered to think of a top 25 but my top 10 would've been:
10) Miz vs. Morrison, FCA, RAW 9) SD Elimination Chamber Match 8) Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio, Ladder Match, Extreme Rules 7) CM Punk vs. John Cena, Summerslam 6) SD MITB Match 5) Christian vs. Randy Orton, Capitol Punishment 4) The Undertaker vs. Triple H, WM27 3) Christian vs. Randy Orton, Cage Match on SD 2) Christian vs. Randy Orton, Over The Limit 1) CM Punk vs. John Cena, MITB
So I can kinda see why they didn't wanna put all the Orton/Christian matches in, but as a best of 2011 list it is inaccurate IMO.

I wouldn't put Taker / Triple H on top, but I do agree it's better than Cena / Punk. Bollocks. Personally, I still really enjoy it on rewatching it, while Punk / Cena even the night it happened I found good but nowhere near the masterpiece people were talking it up as. But then, a lot of people think every time Punk / Cena meet it's gold but generally their matches with each other do nothing for me, so probably an extension of that.

Punk/Cena was much better than HHH/Taker, and I actually liked HHH/Taker.

I actually liked this list , though I'm alittle surprised Punk/Cena: The Rematch wasn't on here And I think Taker/HHH was on the same level as Punk/Cena... ...Was it something I said?

Match wise the MITB main event was too botchy for my liking. Very dramatic. Just too botchy

I thought they did a good job with this list. As with most lists like this it's easy to argue the placement, but they got the right matches on the list.

Orton-Barrett at TLC is the strangest selection to me. 14th best match of the year? Not only was it nowhere near the best match on that show but I could probably list off well over a dozen TV matches alone from this year that were better.
The top two are spot on though. WWE is all about “big” matches and those two were the ones this year that really felt like a big deal and had the crowd going crazy for everything. Just like Rock-Cena will be ranked number 1 next year and some people will be up in arms claiming that Dolph Ziggler/Daniel Bryan/Cody Rhodes wrestled a better match on one of the other shows and have been robbed.

Actually Bryan/Ziggler tied for first place last year and it was hardly considered a "big" match. These lists are usually solely about in-ring entertainment, not how star-studded the match is. Which is why this years Mania main event is nowhere on the list.

Punk/Cena at MITB should have won; it captured the attention of the whole wrestling world.
Trips/Taker was not the instant classic they've painted it as, but it's Triple H so of course he was going to get number one.

Cena vs Punk was by far the better match. Taker vs HHH was a very good match and one of the best of the year, but I think that the Cena vs Punk match was a great match one that people will remember for a long time, while both HBK vs Taker matches will be remembered over that HHH vs Taker match.
