Long after they've retired, and the audience forgets who started it and who it was associated with. This will still go on...

What. For good or bad, it's become synonymous with wrestling. Hear it at non-WWE events. Only hear Woo Woo Woo for Ryder.

"Woo!" is yelled out after every big chop in all wrestling promotions in this country. WWE or not. You don't hear that stupid "WHAT?" chant anywhere else.

Thanks. The poll was confusing. Plus the amount of Ryder talk had my confused.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the "woo"s have already started transcending.

I think it's WHAT, because WWE is pretty much writing wrestling history now. The WOOs live on, but WWE guys don't do many chops so you don't hear many of those on their shows.

If we're lucky, it'll be the WOOs, because "WHAT?" is quite possibly the most annoying chant in the history of wrestling, and the sooner it dies out the better.

Stone Cole has been a regular on WWE TV for a while and has always remained under the WWE umbrella barring small periods of time.
Ric Flair has fallen off the face of the earth to a lot of casual fans, and everyone still WOOOOOOOs everytime a chop is thrown. I think that in itself answers the question.

I think at some point, people will finally stop doing the "what?" chant. It won't be until years down the line, but I think it'll end eventually.
On the other hand, if there is still pro wrestling in the year 2112, people will still be WOOing the chops unless some new wrestler comes along and becomes a star that gets people to say something else.
