If Goldberg fought Stone Cold during his WWE run in 2003-2004 who would have won the match? Let's just say Austins' retirement didn't happen when it did. Do you think Vince & Austin would have been willing to put Goldberg over in the match?

As a kid, I always reasoned that Austin would have won by outsmarting Goldberg. Goldberg always seemed like a monster that could crush anybody, but not that bright. Austin was tough as nails and could beat most people, but had the brains to help him out if he's over matched.

No way in Hell that Austin (and Vince) would have Goldberg go over Austin.

I'd say in 2003 it'd have been Goldberg, on the basis they were building him up for Triple H who at that point basically was higher on the totem pole than Austin.
