Jonathan "The Coach" Coachman was co-hosting the Scott Van Pelt Show today on ESPNews, and Ryen took the opportunity to ask him about some wrestling related topics. At one point he asked the Coach if there was ever a time when he got in a real fight with one of the wrestlers, and he mentioned Bubba Ray Dudley. Apparently one time Bubba put him through a table in an un-planned spot, and the two nearly came to blows backstage over it.
This brings up two things. 1. Coach was pretty badass. I never saw him as the type to want to throwdown with someone like Bubba Ray. 2. Total dick move by Bubba. An un-planned table spot? Not cool.
Does anyone remember any stories of this happening, and how would this possible backstage brawl compare against classics like Booker vs. Batista and Bret knocking out Vince?

Joey Styles gave JBL a black eye. Don't mess with the reporters/commentators.

Joey Styles / JBL as mentioned is the classic one, but I'm also partial to Jericho kicking Goldberg's ass.

From all accounts I've heard, Bubba Ray is kinda a douchebag.

Doesn't shock me, a LOT of people hate Bubba Ray and think he's a prick.

Speaking of unlikely tough guys, anyone remember the WCW refs getting involved in fan run-ins and kicking ass?
Search for "Fan Jumps in Ring, Gets Attacked by Ref" on YT, it's a good one.
My favorite is Brian Hildebrand slapping on a guillotine choke on a fan. Just search for "Fan Attack FAIL - Ref chokes out fan on WCW Monday Nitro"

Well coach is a college basketball player so he has an athletic background so I wouldn't be surprised if he could hold his own in a fight against someone.

I still remember the SD after the JBL incident and the massive "Jo-ey Sty-les" chants.

That is always the drawback of trying to take advantage of someone's kindness..........sooner or later, they won't be so kind and you may not like it when that happens.

Billy Jack Haynes beating the ever loving crap out of Barry Windham because Barry put Billy Jack's hat around the rim of the toilet. Billy Jack followed this up by giving Barry two swirlees in the toilet.

Coach is a big guy! If he had a different face, he might have been a good wrestler.

Joey Styles / JBL as mentioned is the classic one, but I'm also partial to Jericho kicking Goldberg's ass. What's even funnier was how Goldberg fought. A guy who was more than a hundred pounds bigger than Jericho, and his best method of fighting was pulling on his hair.

I'm always partial to Steve Blackman kicking Bradshaw in the airport. But then again, it's Steve Blackman.

Though one version of that has Steve as the one losing when he got caught on a bag strap and couldn't throw a kick. It really goes to show you why "fake" fighting is more entertaining than real fights. In real life, it tends to end with whoever throws the first connecting hit.

I still remember the SD after the JBL incident and the massive "Jo-ey Sty-les" chants. That was Armageddon in Buffalo. I remember as it happened during the whole "Shawn is broke" angle
