let's just list and discuss.
Kofi - Not Jamaican
I just learned that Rosa is from Canada, not Costa Rica as she claimed a couple times on ECW. For some reason I thought her spanish was legit on ECW considering how much she loved speaking spanish midway through her promos unlike say Melina or Eve or the Bellas.
Rowddy Roddy Piper - I love how everyone calls him a Scot but never mentions Canada (or was it oregon?). I too didn't notice this until I realized, hey "what ever happened to Drew McIntyre? I would for these two to meet and discuss true Scottishness like Finlay and Vince McMahon discussing what a real Irishman was".
Santino - I knew he was Italian-Canadian and the Accent was fake (there was an interview when the gimmick just started where he dropped the accent, but I can't find it and all his others are in his Santino voice), but according to "the Art of Wrestling", he didn't know the language until he was called up and he supposed learned it on the plane ride from Canada to Italy for his debut with Umaga. I find that hard to believe considering how good it was, and how fluent he sounds when ever WWE goes to Europe and he cuts entire promos in Italian.
I wonder how annoyed Koslov or Aksana would be if Santino came up with his Russian MMA fighter gimmick and they were paired up together. One of them's using an authentic East European accent and the other is using his Ivan Drago voice.
I always wonder where Kyoudai was supposed to go. Would have liked more interaction just for the awkwardness of Tajiri (real Japanese) and supposedly not speaking english with Sakoda (Japanese American) and Jimmy Yang (Korean) considering they were supposed to be Yakuza and Native Japanese's rough history with Koreans and annoyance with Nikkei who don't speak Japanese well.
