What do you think would have become of Cena had he never been drafted to SmackDown in the 2005 draft?
Does he still get the boos from males/mixed reaction? How would he have fared against the likes of JBL/'Taker/King Booker?
I remember once hearing that Batista seemed more tailor-made for RAW because the fans had built things up (plus, in the I Walk Alone DVD, Batista talked about his initial difficulties on SmackDown). Maybe that played a role in the RAW Cena backlash we've become familiar with?
Conversely, had another SmackDown star been drafted first overall instead (Big Show or Kurt Angle), would they have fit in better (also, we all remember his memorable RAW debut on Jericho's highlight reel- what if it had been someone else?

Cena wouldn't have gotten the mixed reactions that he gets today because, presumably, he would've never became Superman.
Though a Raw with Batista as the top face would've eventually fell back to relying on Triple H to carry the show. He wasn't as good in the ring as Cena, as a face he had almost no personality outside of always being the number 1 contender, and the guy was severely injury prone.

I always felt all that became apparant moreso after his injury, when the spark had died down considerably. I definitely feel he could have lasted the year without them scurrying back to the Triple H show. Besides Cena wasn't exactly doing anything special that year and he lasted. And (IMO at least) Batista was much better than Cena that year in almost every aspect.

If he stayed on Smackdown, it would have happened eventually that Cena became the big target he is now.
Let's face it, in retrospect Cena's been Superman since day one. You wouldn't think about it at the time in 2004, but looking at all the wins he had against Show since his face turn, taking on Booker, RVD & Rene Dupri all in one night for five minutes and SOMEHOW surviving, coming back less than a month after being gone from being stabbed in a bar (Although I'm sure that was just an excuse to get him off TV for a bit), Cena was always going to be the super-heroic Boy Scout face we've recognized him as. Hell, off the top of my head the only losses I can recall between November of 2003-November 2004 were Benoit, Booker and Carlito.
So yeah, it was bound to happen, but I doubt we'd really catch on unless Cena had the same match with another up-and-comer like he had with Hassan.

The booing would have been held off, because I'm sure since SD is taped, they would have edited out the mixed reactions...

The reactions would be the only difference from what really happened.
