Well, am I the only one? Maybe I am just hearing things last night, but wait, I didn't hear anything. He got little to no positive response, Zach Ryder did. It was blatantly obvious that they didn't want him to wrestle Dolph Ziggler, but Zack Ryder instead. But I felt kinda bad for him considering it was a good match.

There were parts in the match where Ziggler was getting cheered over JoMo.

Nah, life of a wrestler. I think he's in trouble because he's got no reaction but I don't feel sorry for him.
The guy lacks SOMETHING. Always felt he didn't connect with the fans.

JoMo has about a 24 pack set of abs, I don't feel sorry for him in the least.

I felt a little sorry for him. He was literally used for a "you're not what we want" spot. And it was such a good match too. Still, if I were in the arena, I'd have gone WE WANT RYDER too. Can't help it.

A little bit because he absolutely busted his ass in the match. Not literally.

I felt horrible for Morrison. He was working his ass off and the crowd crapped all over him for his efforts. But, to be fair, it was to be expected. The crowd loves Zack Ryder and wants to see him get his hands on Ziggler.
The irony of it is that Ryder may have been released a LONG time ago if not for Morrison (and Miz). He started the whole "Woo Woo Woo" thing on their web show, "The Dirt Sheet," and got over on his own web show. Maybe Jomo can develop his own outlandish character on Zack's show.

Fuel for a heel turn, I bet. Don't see how. I honestly don't see him being a WWE superstar by the end of the year, especially since his contract's supposed to expire at the end of the month.

I felt a bit sorry for him tbh. But because I despise his gimmick I find it so very hard to care about JoMo.

No. JoMo was, unfortunately the fall guy for WWE's stupidity in not putting Ryder out there. I was there, and the crowd (rightfully) s*** all over what would have been a decent match otherwise because we were expecting Ryder. Not a smart move. Ryder was the most over guy on the show next to Punk and the Rock...during Rock's post-show speech, a huge "WE WANT RYDER" chant broke out that the Rock even had to address ("I'm a fan too, woo woo woo and all that...that sumbitch is TALL")...they were chanting that throughout the whole place before the show, during the dark match...and then they DIDN'T give the people what they wanted. Bonehead move.
In the end, it's between a guy who's a jobber with no real momentum (his only win recently was really just a small part of what is undoubtedly RYDER's feud with Ziggler) v. a guy who was as over as The New WWE champion and THE ROCK last night.

WWE knew exactly what they were doing putting JoMo out there instead of Ryder. I think it was partly done to further devalue Morrison on his way out to give the crack writing staff at ol' TNA a deeper hole to dig him out of, while of course making Ryder look like a million bucks without even having a match.

I'm a mark for the guy, so I was a little upset, but not surprised.
I was surprised how much Booker buried him completely on commentary, though. And the few spots he did have (pushing ziggler into the corner and beating on him) were all too brief, and the crowd ripped him apart, though they started getting into the match as it went on and marked out for the corkscrew plancha.
At least the match was really good. All in all, if this is indeed the end for him, great match to go out on, too bad he'll probably job to Brodus tonight too.
Too bad his acting chops aren't there, I think he's in a real prime position for a Bret Hart-esque "this is bulls***" snapping.
If I had gone from stuff like his '09 Main Eventing on Smackdown, to the late 2010 submissions anywhere-TLC-Rumble-Elimination Chamber series to where he is now? I wouldn't renew my contract, either. I'm hoping he sticks it out though, I want to see him at the MSG house show in december :x

JoMo is one of the few current WWE wrestlers for whom I feel a couple year stint in TNA, a la Christian, might actually help his character.

JoMo was just a pawn in the continuing Ziggler-Ryder feud. It sucks but it happens sometimes. At least he got used and had a pretty good match.

I was there too. They were booing him very loudly, especially in the beginning. Ziggler was more over with the crowd.
You can't really tell that from the PPV broadcast based on what they did with the audio, which makes me think that they don't plan to turn him heel after all.
After Morrison got in the ring, he made this face that was like "Really? You're booing me?" I think he was surprised that much heat was directed at him. You didn't see it on the PPV. (Why he was surprised was beyond me. I expected it.)
The crowd did appreciate what both guys were doing and the match itself, but they (and me) really wanted Ryder involved in it.

Don't feel sorry for him at all. He's making it a habit of stealing peoples' title shots.
I would really like to see a Face Ryder vs. Heel Morrison feud though specifically for the situation it'd put Zack's dad in.

Nope. He needs to get out of that company. This is them putting the nail in the coffin to finally get him gone, if he hasn't already decided not to renew.
But he's on his way out. So be it.
