Ok, if you were at the show, can we talk about the f***ing insanity that was that Drake/Sami match?: I thought it was supposed to be a submission match as in technical wresting. But holy s*** did Drake and Sami just kill each other. That has to go down as one of the most brutal submission matches of all time. It was knock-out or submission rules.

Despite the Young Bucks winning yet another DDT4 (and the PWG Tag Titles), this show looks awesome.

Ok, sure, but I wasn't expecting a chair to explode over Drake head. Also, I love PWG to the death but without Generico now...that little extra *umph* just won't be there anymore.

Here's hoping WWE doesn't leave one of the best wrestlers alive today sitting around wasting his talent. With Punk/Bryan/Claudio kicking ass right now, and Black/Moxley getting an honest crack at it I feel optimistic that he'll be successful. Perhaps PWG can use their El Generico money and pencil in a few Colt Cabana appearances.

Yeah, I honestly think it'll help Generico that a bunch of his buddies are top talent in the promotion. It can't hurt having somebody like the WWE Champ and one of the most featured talents, Bryan, praising you. If this gets screwed up, it's on WWE, though I have a bit more faith in them after the way they've handled the last crop of indie talent they took.
If not, well, like Cabana he can always come back and make a killing even more so on the indie scene than he did beforehand.

Just because they're on the indies together doesn't make them super best friends by default.

And what a friend Punk is.
Giving him 200 Wrestlemania Tickets from Generico's orphans.

Yeah, considering Generico regularly is going to concerts with Punk & Lita, and he's long time friends with Bryan...I'd say he's pretty good. Plus, as others have said, Antonio and Kassius.

Adam Cole's reaction to Steen announcing Guerrilla Warfare should become a reaction gif.

So, I have to get something off my chest here.
I still love PWG. Always will. But, these days, I'm feeling less connected to it then I used to be.
If you look at the roster, over half of the talent is fly-in. To me, Guerilla has always been about showcasing the EXTREMELY high level of SoCal talent, while using national and international guys to draw people from outside the area. But it just doesn't feel like that anymore, to me at least.
Part of it might be bias, because a lot of my friends stopped getting booked, despite being over with the crowd, but still(and, not going into detail, but some of the guys I know have said pretty much the same thing.)

Yeah, I didn't want to bring down the vibe of the thread but I've been feeling this way for a bit now with PWG. It reminds me alot of the issues CHIKARA had about two years back, where they focused more on guest spots than their core roster. And, the issue ROH had during the Gabe years with his everlasting hard-on for Japanese talent. I honestly miss alot of the SoCal talent on the PWG shows. Sure, I can see some of them on Hollywood, but it's not quite the same beast. And, for those that aren't on that show, I have limited funds for wrestling. I can't follow and track down every SoCal promotion that they're featured in. PWG made it easier in that respect. Yeah, maybe they're not "draws" right now in comparison to some of the fly-in talent they've been bringing in. But if they focused on their established talent and the SoCal talent mingling, they could do what they've done in the past. Make them stars. There's been so many cases of that in PWG's history, where they took a talent that was at best big in SoCal and made them a country wide star. Somebody that could get booked anywhere in the country and even get dates outside of the USA.

Sadly, I think it comes down to the fact that there's only one guy left from the PWG Six left in charge of booking. And, after hearing some things about the guy, it kinda sucks Joey left(if you notice, a LOT of local guys, who again, we're already, or getting over, got taken off the roster as soon as Joey signed with TNA.)

Kadillak/Avalon/Rosas/Candice were gone by July. Which was right around the time Joey started working for Impact. He finished up a few dates with them, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had to give up any booking positions immediately. Again, this is speculation on my part. I barely know Joey, and I haven't straight up asked anybody else, cuz I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.

PPRAY & Candice last got booked at DTABM, their match was ok but it didn't even make the video preview. I think that's where Dragon kinda gave up on them. I don't think Joey had anything to do with booking even before he left. He did recommend a lot of guys that got booked (Drake, Cage, etc.) but he didn't book cards. Anyway, I hope Avalon & Rosas in particular get one more chance this year. I can live without another Kadillak, Famous B or Candice match. Taylor I still like, and RockNES are great.

I will, however, say that I was talking to Peter the other day, and he and Ray REALLY want a shot in Chikara.
