The first King of Trios report, but as it's not on iPPV, it's Bryce doing it rather than a lovely lady like Jessie McKay or Veda Scott.

As announced on that video, The Colony will face Team Sendai Girls, and it looks like it'll be F.I.S.T. vs. Team Osaka Pro.

I haven't posted in this thread for a while, because I didn't want to be one of those guys. The kind of guy who decides that something sucks from the get-go, or who used to like it but then decides it sucks and stops watching/reading/playing/whatever yet keeps up with it just enough to constantly post about how and why it still sucks and why he's still not watching/reading/playing/whatever, and why anybody who does like it has horrible taste. But often when you give up on something, you still kind of keep track of it a little. At least I do. I gave up on the Star Wars EU novels after the s***fest that was the "Legacy Of The Force" series, for example, but I still can't help but look at Wookieepedia every now and then to see what's happened to the characters I got so attached to. See whether any of them have been derailed, killed off, fixed, rehabilitated, etc. To use a wrestling company example, after giving up on TNA following months of lameness culminating in the horribly anticlimactic 10/10/10 revelation, I occasionally checked to see who held what belt, who had turned, who had been added to the roster and who had left, etc. And actually, since TNA's improved a lot in the last little while, it might just get me back as a fan. I watched Impact for the first time in ages just a couple weeks before "Hardcore Justice", and was impressed with the booking. So I haven't completely ignored Chikara. I'll still read the blogs, sometimes I'll look at the results, and it's still on my TV Tropes watchlist. You know what I saw today that pissed me off? 17 was Put On A Bus after taking four Quackendrivers. Now this board might just be a "blip on the internet radar" or whatever Friskey said (despite, you know, Vin Gerard deciding to post here before and Botchamania's Maffew giving it a shout-out recently), so maybe nothing anybody says here matters, but I'll say it anyway: yeah, Quack is a bag. I liken Quack to circa 1996 Shawn Michaels: tremendous performer, rotten person. Or maybe he's more like Vince McMahon, in that he can't resist the temptation to book storylines that have the message "I'm right, and anybody who disagrees with me is wrong, and I'm going to prove it by having this stand-in for the person I disagree with get destroyed in my ring!" He could have written a great story where GEKIDO were a true threat, a force to be reckoned with. There was certainly the promise of that in the beginning, back when I still thought this promotion was worth following. But what happened? They turned out to be stand-ins for wrestling students who quit due to Quack's "tough love" and Quack's insistence that they "pay their dues". And what happened to them? Good lord, going over the results I see that everybody in GEKIDO is on one big long losing streak going back to at least "Chikarasaurus Rex". Where Quack broke 17's fingers. Let me say something about that: for a promotion that wants to bill itself as "family friendly", that's horribly f***ed up. Even in WWE's Attitude Era, I don't remember any babyface deliberately breaking the bones of another wrestler or otherwise injuring him that badly, except maybe Austin. And Quack fully expects fans to still consider him a babyface, I don't doubt. Another comparison: Quack is like John Cena, acting like a heel and acting merciless (in Cena's case, AA'ing a terrified Batista off of a car in their "I Quit" match after Batista had already quit, for example) but not having anybody in the story call him on it except for the heels, and since nobody listens to the heels it doesn't count. (Remember when CM Punk turned heel and called Cena on all the dickish stuff he'd done? Nobody listened to Punk, because Punk was the heel. It's the same thing with Sabato here.) And now we have 17 coming back, targeting Jigsaw and you know what, they could've still salvaged this. If 17 were to decisively beat Jigsaw (which Quack doesn't allow to happen very often, of course), and hurt Jigsaw like he'd done to Tianlong and Dragonfly, then that would make 17 look like a threat again and set up what could've been an epic grudge match between him and Quack. Which Quack could've won without making 17 look too bad. But no, it ends with 17's career getting ended and Quack getting to puff out his chest and say "Yeah, you see? That's what happens to people who f*** with me, because I rock so much!" And meanwhile, Kingston's still steamrolling over everybody. I'm gonna say what I never thought I'd say a year ago: Quack is a lousy booker. "Now wait," you might be saying. "Can't you see that this is part of a slow-burn rudo turn for Quack, and the story is really about his fall from grace rather than good vs. evil?" Um, no, I don't think Quack is smart enough to do that. I don't think that Sabato is going to be portrayed as the voice of reason. I don't think that Green Ant or Jigsaw or anybody are going to say "You know, for once that jerk Sabato has a point. Mike, you've changed, and it's scaring us." I don't think Quack is going to start cheating or doing things to make the crowd turn on him. I don't think he's going to start brutalizing tecnicos the way he did to 17. I think that the followup to the four Quackendrivers and Sabato's blog post is gonna amount to "Whatever dude, 17 had it coming," and that'll be the end of it. If Quack doesn't totally suck as a booker, he'll prove me wrong. But I'm not holding my breath. Quack's judgment is unreliable at best. This is a guy who thinks that Clayton Morris is BFF material, after all.

I know nothing of ChikaraFans so I'm not sure if that's a slam or not. We're not allowed to discuss other message boards in a negative light, so there's not a ton of reasons to discuss Chikarafans. I'm not even sure if it still exists, but there it is.

I would like to point out that Los Ice Creams actually are only one win away from earning a title shot. Also I agree with Sabato even though he is a jerk

I don't think Los Ice Creams have gotten a shot since the Icarus/Akuma duo held the belts way back when, have they?

I just want to make my usual non-contribution to this thread.
ColoArm sounds kind of gross.

If 3.0 aren't getting a chance at the straps (and seriously, them losing the belts in the first place just stuck a nerve with me), then I am more than happy with Los Ice Creams being Chikara's saviors regarding the Campeones De Parejas.
I'm refusing to talk about GEKIDO and Quack, just because MSB said everything perfectly. I'd love for Quack to snap and become full on rudo who expects everyone to follow his way, but I could see it going a different way.
Hell, it might give Kingston an actual feud. Lord knows he needs one since the title just seems.... there.

All we can do is be a support system when things go bad and a fan club when they go good.
