You do realise both of those examples aren't ironic, right? The OP's one is. His "marking out" is what (allegedly) got him taken off SD, and the man that replaces him is the one he was marking out for.

It looks like Punk is trying to dry-hump Edge, even though Punk is Straight Edge? I don't know, that's all I've got.

Kaitlyn and Maxine wrestled each other exactly one year to the day on NXT Redemption after their original debacle on Season 3.

Kaitlyn and Maxine wrestled each other exactly one year to the day on NXT Redemption after their original debacle on Season 3. And it was good.

I know a lot of stuff in wrestling cannot be considered ironic, due to it being stage. But lets go with Ironic in Kayfabe,

Well, depending on the match quality, they're having a rematch one year to the day they stunk it up and that match is occurring on a show called Redemption. Like, if they had a great match (haven't seen it), they would actually redeem themselves.

Every time Cena gives someone the Attitude Adjustment and there's no change in their attitude. Pretty ironic if you ask me.

sorry, had to do it I honestly do not get this joke Alanis Morissette had a single entitled "Ironic" that includes the line "It's like rain on your wedding day, it's a free ride when you've already paid". So it's like Kane instead of rain.

Mr. Kennedy makes his return on Raw and tells Orton he's going to be WWE Champ. Next day he's on the unemployment line.

CM Punk making fun of Kevin Nash last year: "You hear that clicking sound? That's the sound of people changing the channel when you walk out here." Then he made fun of Miz and Del Rio for being "ratings killers" also. A few weeks later, Punk became the first WWE champion in years (or even ever) to lose viewers in a main event segment and was featured in the lowest rated Raw main events since 96/97. I'm pretty sure this isn't ironic, but I LOL'd.

You forgot to mention Orton losing his s__t backstage over Kennedy's ring-rust induced roughness, and that being why he was fired. Also, Perry Saturn getting dropped on his head and going nuts during a match lead to a comedy moron gimmick "as a result of numerous concussions"

Mr. Anderson does an interview saying he was off steroids. Mr. Anderson gets suspended for using steroids He was off steroids at the time he said that. The list/suspension was from when he was on steroids, before he got suspended and before he said that. There was a large time gap.

His "marking out" is what (allegedly) got him taken off SD, and the man that replaces him is the one he was marking out for. That still doesn't work. That's more like Alanis' definition of ironic, which was ironic because nothing in it was ironic.
