Whoever said the bald genes comes from the mother's side of the family is wasting their breath. It's simply what your DNA structure dictates, and not what your mother's side has. If this were the case, it would be far more common knowledge, and it would assume that 2/3 of men who are bald by the age of 60 (Medline Plus website) have taken their father's genetics in pattern baldness. That number is far too distinct to decipher down to one cause, and makes the 'mother's side' arguement redundant.
I wish it were that easy to explain; I'd love to have the hair gene of my mother's side. However, I'm 22, I'm balding, and I know damn well that's defintely a result of having a notoriously bald father's side of the family.
Plus, being Ukrainian doesn't help my cause either. Having a widow's peak only adds fuel to the fire.

I'll say this; if you have a bald spot, it's better to shave your head. A bald spot makes you look, well, weird.
unfortunately, I know that my uncle from mom's side is going bald, and my mom is balding in one very small spot.
My dad's sad is known to have a lot of hair, but to have a lot of white hairs. Not the silver smooth kind, but the kinda that has a whites and blacks all over the place.
I already have white hair. I just hope I don't go bald.

Who cares ? Its just hair. I'll probably go start to go bald in the next few years. It happens.
Its just your appearances. Don't be so damn shallow. I known guys that tried to kill themselves over this crap... Honestly... I'd rather be bald, deformed and missing my legs than dead. Its always the same crap i hear from guys "Oh no one finds me attractive". Well, i will tell you this, a bald guy in shape with a good personality and confidence is going to get alot more chicks than a guy with thick hair a beer gut, no personality who is hiding in a corner, afraid of rejection.
I blame Hollywood for this crap.
As for Masters, the guy is 22.. build like a house and wrestling guys like Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle.. Man I wish i was in his situation.. hair loss and all..

^Say what? Masters is the most unover heel on Raw and is a jobber to stars. He's nothing right now and is heading nowhere fast except for a quick exit at the Royal Rumble after Lashely tosses him out like garbage.

Hang on a minute ... Kurt Angle isn't officially bald is he? ... I though he just kept it that way after the Edge v Angle feud ... he could grow it back right?
Goofy Kurt worked so much better when he had hair ...

I can't stand the WWE style of stars these days. HOWEVER Vince thinks differently.. Masters may just break Orton's record as youngest world champ... yes I know thats sad.

Goofy Kurt worked so much better when he had hair ... He kept it that way because it was fleeing. And it's no big deal. Guys go bald. Women don't love them less for it. My husband's hair's been thinning since he was 18. I'm still here.

Quite right. His lack of hair has nothing to do with the fact that he's about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Of course, the paint fumes do make you happy.
BACK ON TOPIC: He'll eventually shave it all off, most guys do.

Goofy Kurt worked so much better when he had hair ... No, Kurt was going bald at a rapid rate. The hair vs hair thing was just as excuse to finally shave it off. I think the Rock even made fun of it once (how ironic is that, considering Rock's hair is going as well).

Thats true... my friend who went bald very young (i mentioned him in one of the ridiculous number of hair threads arround here)... he has the Austin look and gets way more female attention than I do with my long hair...
