Just thought about something as well.
What kind of series finale would you prefer? Because I think a series finale could be handled in both ways: either as an adventure style one (like other 2-Parters were) or as a "slice of life" type of episode without action scenes.
For the adventure style one I have to admit: I am biased towards a story along the lines of my "Twilight Unleashed" story, mainly because Twilight has been the main focus of the other three two-parters so far and it would put the focus more on the other mane cast members in a nice reversal of the pilot.
I also think a "slice of life" could work in that Twilight is assigned a big task by Celestia (becoming ambassador to a foreign country for several years) that would require for her to leave Ponyville and puts her friends and her in great turmoil as they try to figure out how to deal with this situation.

Reminds me of Kirby's Adventure for the NES. Rented it and completed it until the last boss who I couldn't defeat because I always died before I could hit him enough. |

Kirby's Adventure is one of those popular NES games that I don't own that I need to. Along with Final Fantasy(on VC) and Kid Icarus.
