That's adorable. I love it when these animal rescue stories turn out this well.
My family found a small... I think it was a daschund, outside of a hotel in Dallas about a year back. Someone had found her wandering a country street in East Texas, mangy and starved and picked her up, but couldn't care for her. My brother and his wife talked to her and they agreed to take her home, get her clean and healthy and sociable, and then find a good home for her. The dog's doing very well now
