There is a rumor going around Twitter that Danica Patrick may be out a sponsor as Go Daddy is hiring a new advertising firm that wants nothing to do with her. Which means they probably will want nothing to do with the Mayor of Hinchtown either

I think he'll be safe at AA.

Which means they probably will want nothing to do with the Mayor of Hinchtown either It doesn't necessarily mean the end of either of them racing for Go Daddy but might benefit Hinchcliffe more than you'd think. Looking at what is out there it seems more this new company won't be using Danica for commercials but Go Daddy could still budget and sponsor their racing efforts. Lowes for example doesn't feature Jimmie in anything outside of their NASCAR targeted stuff. Now the catch comes, if the new company wants nothing to do with Danica in the commercials, what benefit does sponsoring Danica at the ridiculous amount she commands have then? With Hinchcliffe and Indy Car there are less races and the cost would be less so there is bit more of an advantage to sponsoring him.

I think he'll be safe at AA. The trouble is AA did scale back this past year, from four cars to three outside of a handful of appearances from Beatriz and Saavedra. Though I guess that could easily be because Conway didn't bring much in the way of actual sponsorship, while the three main cars retained their sponsors: Andretti with Dr. Pepper/Snapple, Hinchcliffe with GoDaddy, and Hunter-Reay with DHL/Sun Drop. Hunter-Reay winning the championship should help Andretti while talking to potential sponsors. Which means they probably will want nothing to do with the Mayor of Hinchtown either It doesn't necessarily mean the end of either of them racing for Go Daddy but might benefit Hinchcliffe more than you'd think. It depends on if that advantage in costs is worth the related disadvantage in viewership and mainstream attention. Outside of the 500 there aren't a whole lot of eyes on IndyCar races. I hope you're right though, as I think at this point in their respective careers Hinch has a lot more upside than Patrick and realistically has a lot less companies that would be interested in sponsoring him.

Well, the V8 race at Surfers Paradise just became a demolition derby within 100 metres... If you remember, they call in a lot of international drivers for this race (mostly IndyCar guys) to co-drive with the regulars of the championship since they stopped racing IndyCars there.
So yeah, James Hinchcliffe got rear-ended by Vitantonio Liuzzi who got rear-ended by Simon Pagenaud who ended up rolling Ricky Taylor. It'll be on YouTube soon enough, but it seems like a lot of them were thrown off by the standing start.
EDIT: It's happened again! Nicolas Minassian stalled on the grid and got bowled by Franck Montagny. This is insane!

Randy Bernard is officially out as Indycar CEO. jalopnik.com/5955650/indycar-ceo-randy-bernard-fired-for-being-unable-to-unsink-titanicI don't get it. Who the hell are the powers that be listening to? The only thing this seems to be leading to is Tony George getting his grubby paws back on the product which literally only Tony George wants, and I can't think of a single IRL fan who HASN'T said they're leaving and never coming back if Tony George gets it again. I don't get it. Yeah, the new cars aren't the prettiest but damn if the racing wasn't good this season, but apparently it wasn't enough, fast enough. Between the sports car racing revival and F1 reentering the US in a significant capacity, Indycar is REALLY going to have to pull some strings to not get killed completely at this rate.

Your 2012 NHRA Pro Stock World Champion. 17 years trying, finally on top of the mountain. Couldn't happen to a better man, either. Congrats, Allen Johnson. You deserve it.

Most likely going GWC under the lights in Texas with the top two in points running 1 and 2!

Jimmie will steal it from Brad in Texas! What a final 100 or so.

Crazy F1 race at Abu Dhabi, Vettel runs from last to 3rd (safety cars helped him a bunch). Hamilton was running away with it only to have his electronics shut down (awesome coz I really dislike Hamilton). Webber forgets how to start again & gets cleaned up later in the race. And finally Raikonnen wins again! Been waiting all year for him to get the job done. His radio chatter with his engineer was priceless. He was basically telling his engineer to shut up & let him win the race.
Also the Aussie V8's were there as a support race. To compare lap times the fastest lap of the F1 race was Vettel with 1:43.964. The fastest lap of the V8 race was Jamie Whincup with 2:13.160

Apparently picked a fight with Bowyer. Very eventful race, especially in regards to the Chase with Johnson probably finishing in the 30s and Keselowski looking at a top 5.
