One thing I noticed that was kinda weird, but cool at the same time: The turtles go super serious, their eyes disappear. They become goofy or normal, eyes are back.

This show is pretty damn good for a cartoon kids show. I didn't know if I would like the animation design but I do and I think its really creative.
Is it just me or does anyone else like the theme song? Sure it is just a basic catchy rap song but it gets stuck in my head really easily.
Why can't Nickelodeon's writers just write the live action movie? I have this awful feeling that Michael Bay's company is going screw up really bad.
BTW I really want the guy who plays Gustavo Fring on Breaking Bad to play a serious Baxter Stockman in the live action movie. lol

I love how (for the most part) the episodes end with a freeze frame that goes to black and white that kinda resembles the old Mirage comic books. This is also used in the opening credits.
Also, I think this show is one of the funniest on TV right now. By that I don't mean "funny for a kids' show" or "funny for a cartoon" but I mean funny without any qualifiers that would somehow ghettoize this show.

It's one of those shows that once again has a great plot, great characters, and is serious and funny without being overdone. I love it.

It's one of those shows that once again has a great plot, great characters, and is serious and funny without being overdone. I love it. Me too. I also love how this is the best of both worlds of the OT and the 2k3 cartoon. The 80s cartoon had great voice actors, great humor, but for the most part lousy action and goofy plots. The 2k3 cartoon had great action, compelling stories, but lousy voice actors and humor. This one has great action, good stories, great voice actors(I especially love Splinter's voice) and great humor. And this is probably one of my favorite exchanges from the Baxter Stockman episode: "That guys up to no good." "How do you know?" "He's wearing battle armor. What else could he be doing?" "He could be going to church." "In battle armor?" "It could be a totally awesome church."

"i was gonna call it the t-phone" Not gonna lie, I felt a bit bad for Mikey..... Also I loved how Mikey took Splinter's observation that he doesn't think as a compliment.

Today's episode was pretty awesome.
Anyone else catch the OT/1987 reference?

Today's episode was pretty awesome. Anyone else catch the OT/1987 reference? Michaelangelo: Maybe I could get a tattoo of my face on my face! Yeah, that was pretty sweet! ;D Big fan of this exchange after Leonardo has The Turtles retreat. Raphael: I don't know how that fight could've been more embarrassing! Michaelangelo: They could've hit us in the face with pies. One more of those that have solidified Michaelangelo's 23 year long reign as my favorite Turtle!

This is one of those rare occasions where I enjoy the remade version of something a million times more than the original. I loved the 87 cartoon, but the writing on this show is just crisp and punchy that it's hard not to like it more. Plus they act more like teenagers in this one than they did in the 87 toon.

I diddn't know this existed until I saw this thread, got my viewing for tonight sorted now. used to love the 80s cartoon when I was a kid, some of my Earliest memories involve playing Turtles with a friend in the playground, I was always michelangelo, in fact i used to get some shit off another Kid so in my head I pretended he was Shredder. I still find it wierd seeing people call it TMNT though as to me it was always Teenage Mutant HERO turtles.

As good an antagonist Xever is, I really wish he'd get a different hairstyle. His 'fro looks eerily similiar to Baxter's.
Also, it's pretty cool how they're keeping April useful by having her be the turtles's surface lookout, rather than just a pointless tagalong/damsel load.
