Hasn't just about EVERYTHING THQ has put out over the past couple of years under-performed in terms of what they wanted? Isn't that why they are going bust? Yup, they have over estimated everything, likely to placate shareholders, while at the same time not doing the best marketing and releasing against tough competition. That last one being pretty funny as they keep moving their games out of the way of big dogs just to get stomped by another game that did the same thing.

The funny thing is with Red Faction: Armageddon, it wasn't another game that did them in, it was an event.
They stupidly released the game the same week as E3. The week before, during, and after E3 is infamously known as a release deadzone.

That's because that game was on everyone's mind thanks to Sony: 1) Hyping the hell out of the game(again, something THQ doesn't really do well, I think I saw all of one RF:A ad on TV). 2) Releasing inFAMOUS 1 for free as repayment for the PSN hack that happened just weeks before.

I know WWE 13 hasn't done as well as THQ was hoping, and Darksiders 2 got the same reaction in regards them saying it didn't ship enough. I guess if it isn't an epic free roamer or a cloned FPS, most just dont care

Im protesting Far Cry due to Crytek's ongoing pissing about with Timesplitters fans.
The guy keeps changing his mind every time he gets asked. One minute he wants X amount of fans to demand it, then he wants triple the number he first asked for, and then he says its unlikely anything fans do will make them bother with a fourth or even a HD collection.
Just bloody release it to the PSN store you bunch of German dicks!

Yeah I was one of the first to give my ID in one of these threads, but it appears to have lost its way over the years...

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale has nudged me towards getting a Vita and now the fact I can get Playstation Plus Vita games without having a Vita has pushed me fully.
2013, I am getting a Vita.

So PSASBR has, predictably, gotten a mixed reception from critics.
I still want it, though.

Not in the same way as Smash Bros but I appreciate what they did with it. My only letdown with it is the story mode. It doesn't seem crazy enough. Heck, it is really tame in terms of set up.

A lot of reviews seem to agree that that is the weakest part of the game.

Crytek has nothing at all to do with the game as far I know, they didn't with the second either.

I finally got my first Platinum! Granted it is The Walking Dead's Platinum and considering all the Trophies in that game are for literally playing the game, it isn't that great of an achievement, but still. Also, that final episode is....damn. Just......damn. That single episode alone put TWD in my Top 5 games of the year, looking at the game as a whole, it is in my Top 3, easily. So that means, that finally my Top 3 games of the year has changed. For the longest time it was etched in stone that my Top 3 of the year were, in order, Journey, Mass Effect 3, and Katawa Shoujo(though for a while it was Journey, Katawa Shoujo, and Mass Effect 3, the Extended Cut is what caused KS and ME3 to switch places). Now it is: 1) Journey 2) The Walking Dead 3) Mass Effect 3 Yes, it even leaped over ME3, because unlike ME3, it actually has a good ending the first time around. That being said, ME3 is still more replayable than TWD for me, because I don't think I can get as invested in a second playthrough of TWD as I did in this first playthrough.

TWD's only replay value is choosing different choices and the like.
And I've heard the final episode is all kinds of stomach punching. Makes waiting for the retail version that much more crazy.

Yeah, its replay value comes from taking different interactions with characters. Most of the episodes, admittedly end up with kind of the same results, but Episode 5 is really affected by your choices.

Anybody else play Dungeon Defenders? Got that off PSN yesterday and the game is like crack. You can't stop playing even if you wanted to. Sat down to play it late yesterday afternoon and before I knew it, it was 5 AM. It's CHAOS at times. Awesome game! I think it's still free for Plus, so if you have that, GET IT.

Had a blast playing split screen, but got tired of solo after awhile
