So I guess Nihilistic isn't going to be making games as a studio for much longer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified has been getting worse reviews than Resistance: Burning Skies.
Burning Skies' aggregate score right now is 58.76%. CoD:BOD's current aggregate score is.......28.00%
Ouch.
In fact, here's GameInformer's quick summary of their review(all of their reviews come with a quick summary):
I've never seen them flat out tell us not to play a game.

In fact, here's GameInformer's quick summary of their review(all of their reviews come with a quick summary): I've never seen them flat out tell us not to play a game. And it still got a 3! He probably gave it a 3 because at least the controls were decent. Though maybe we can't really blame Nihilistic for the game sucking, because I read on Yahoo! that there are rumors that they only had 8 months to make this game. So if that is the case it is more on Sony and Activision. But man, this is a bad break for the Vita. Sony hyped up their two Vita game bundles for the holiday season, hoping it would be a boom in sales, but one comes with a game that has gotten mixed reviews(AC3:L), and the other comes with a game that is very, very, VERY bad. If not flat out broken, with the full GI review saying things like the AI in the single player(which is incredibly short, how short? The GI reviewer beat it in 42 minutes), were at times suicidal, like throwing grenades at walls that would then bounce back and blow themselves up and taking cover behind cars, only to shoot at the cars they are taking cover behind until they explode, killing themselves. He also says things like the AI just stands there shooting straight ahead, so if they are looking right at a wall or something they'll be shooting at that wall. So maybe you can blame Nihilistic a bit as well. They may have been given only 8 months to make the game, but still, as Burning Skies shows they aren't that good(though it makes you wonder how long they had to make that game as well). Still, major egg on Sony's face for bundling this game with the Vita.

I cannot understand why Sony closed Zipper, if they had given them this game everything would be different. I am sure Activision would have been ok with them making it.

The AI in that game sounds pretty entertaining even if it's not something I'd want to pay money to play.
While any goodwill I had for Sony ran out a long time ago I do feel a little bit sorry for them when it comes to Vita as some of their 3rd Party developers are half-assing it more than they did on the Wii and I don't think they can afford that in the current handheld market.

#11 (the NFS game) seems to be getting a lot of hate for being a top 20 game. DAMN!

I've played 5 of the Top 6. Technically 7 of the Top 8, because the Journey listing is the 3 game Thatgamecompany bundle, and I own and play all 3. After The Walking Dead the only games in that list I've played are Assassin's Creed III and BlOps2.

#11 (the NFS game) seems to be getting a lot of hate for being a top 20 game. DAMN! It is basically the sequel to Burnout Paradise which to me is a top 10 game this generation. So yeah, this game should be top 20 this year. I have played 10 with 4 more to come at Christmas.

So yeah, this game should be top 20 this year. Why the hate though? It's getting praise everywhere. Even though I wish we'd get a new Burnout game in general that's in line with the original trilogy instead of Paradise (Takedown is STILL my favorite racing game period), this is close enough for the time being. Criterion know how to mix simu-style cars and universe w/ arcade-style racing well.
