Remember that time that Goldberg kicked Bret Hart in the head and it led to the end of his career? Oh, I thought we were talking about things unrelated to this situation. But that is a little odd. Remember that time when some guy named Skip Sheffield hit Ricky Steamboat with a Lariat, and Steamboat was hospitalized 2 days later for neck/shoulder weakness? Turns out, it's all related! Didn't Steamboat have those injuries before that angle? Remember when Ryback stabbed Bruiser Body? Remember when Paul Heyman was too fat and oddly shaped to hit the Shellshock on?

Maybe it just means Heyman could stand to lose some weight.

No, it means Ryback should lose weight for Heyman. It's all Ryback's fault.

Why would anyone go into a match without proper cardio? Bryan has always said he trains so he can go 60 min without getting tired which he has done multiple times. Not everyone has the dedication D-Bry does. Why focus on actual wrestling skill when you can get just as over, if not more, on being big as all hell and having a cute catchphrase? That's not really a fair thing to say. Big guys can be just as dedicated to wrestling as smaller guys. The difference is they just carry a lot more body mass and are understandably more limited. If you're a guy the size of Ryback, Zeke, or a Mason Ryan, of course you're not gonna be putting on catch-as-catch-can classics. Athleticism also plays a big factor. A guy like Bryan is MUCH more athletic than a guy like Ryback. Doesn't mean Ryback is any less dedicated. At the end of the day, you have to work with what you have.

I don't think weigths the problem. I think it's fat guys make it difficult for Ryback to get his head in position.
He's obviously a strong guy and has hit the move on two guys at once plenty of times so his strength isn't an issue. I think it's just fat guys he can't get his head in position right to hit the move.
Also, don't get the hate for Shellshock from people saying it looks lame/weak/boring. It's little different from the Muscle Buster that everyone seems to love.

Ryback is just not all that impressive. He's the same height as Punk and not all that much thicker, and they push him like some kind of massive powerhouse. Then he can't pick up a manager to do his finish. Sure, clunky move, but it was obvious that Heyman went up a ton for him, and he couldn't muscle him up for the final bit. It's easy to be a power wrestler when your opponents are 220 or less, but put him in there with someone like Jinder Mahal and he doesn't even look threatening. I just can't see Ryback-a-Mania lasting, especially since he got thrown into a high profile spot out of nowhere due to injury. Also, don't get the hate for Shellshock from people saying it looks lame/weak/boring. It's little different from the Muscle Buster that everyone seems to love. Right, and the differences are what make it not as cool as the Muscle Buster. The set up and impact of the move are different, in a lame/weak/boring way.

Then again, there are a whole lot of big guys who either have pretty good cardio or at least have something to back it up outside of "lift stuff." Samoa Joe, Undertaker, Kane, Rikishi, the list goes on; hell, Lesnar and Swagger are both massive and catch-as-catch-can guys! I'm not saying there aren't dedicated big guys, I'm just saying RyBack isn't one of 'em.

They're big guys, but with the exception of Lesnar and maybe Swagger, they all look "normal." Ryback is basically a walking muscle. That much muscle mass just naturally limits you. Look at what happened to Scott Steiner. After he became a brick shithouse, his workrate & movement dropped drastically.

Tired of this line of thinking that people who don't like a wrestler always have some ulterior motive for it, and framing their opinions as wrong and contrarian. I'm not impressed, he's a hoss and not even a particularly good one, he's over now but I don't think it will last. Disagree, fine, but quit with the condescending marginalization of the other opinion.

I'll quit that opinion when people stop jumping all over every little thing the guy does despite logical reasons as to why he was unable to do something. People can not like him, sure, but I honestly believe that many dislike him because he's a typical WWE hoss and nothing else.

And I don't like his goofy facial mannerisms, his horrible catchphrase, or his marching around the ring like a stupid idiot. The guy seems like a one-trick pony, and I'll be shocked if he turns out to be anything more than a "flavor of the month" in the long run.

I bet Cesaro is stronger than The Ryback. Tough to say. Cesaro's finisher makes it much easier to lift larger opponents. If he had to do the Shellshock, he might blow out every very European muscle in his body.
