One more thing, I hate the hate that Origins got, X3 got, X1 etc. Do you all know how badly we wanted an X movie with real A list actors? Wizard used to dream cast X-Men, Avengers, Wolverine and spidey movies once every few months for a decade or better. We got them all and somehow nobody likes them. I wanted a few things put of X3 like sinister, apocalypse, sentinels, but I was cool with the phoenix and the way it was used. The killed Cyclopss dead. Dead. Nobody ever dies and he stayed dead. They cannot straight adapt from source. Cannot happen and make money. I'm good with the casting and the final products. Barrakapool was a shade lame, but did not kill the movie

The casting was great (Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool was an awesome decision) and it was a good story. Maybe my enjoyment was helped by me not being big into the comics, but I didn't see anything wrong with it.

Barrakapool was a shade lame, but did not kill the movie And yet First Class was the best of the X-Men films(at least in my opinion), and had no one you could call A-listers at the time(many of its cast have gone on to be well regarded actors, though). Plain and simply an A-list cast doesn't guarantee a great film if the actors don't try(let's be honest here, Halle Berry phoned it in as Storm and she was one of many who did the same. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen all acted their asses off, though), the script isn't up to snuff, and the directing was subpar. X3 and Origins suffered from all three of those(X1 and X2 less so, mostly just suffered from some lazy performances from a decent chunk of the cast members with a few corny lines).

X3 is a really f***ing bad movie, so was Origins, I don't think I've seen much in terms of "hate" for the first movie or X2 or even First Class but that's mostly because those movies didn't suck shit.

Hollywood hawk, I am saying I do not like the, it's cool to hate, X-Men movies gimmick. I was not making an argument. I was sharing my stance. Were I trying to persuade you, I would have had something in the way of a topic sentence. I will re-emphasize my point, I appreciate the living shit out of the fact that X men comic books were done in movie form with a large budget and renowned actors. This means the source was taken very seriously by a studio. When I was a kid we never thought it would happen.

I completely agree that Ryan Reynolds played a great Wade Wilson, and would've made a FANTASTIC Deadpool. But instead, we got mouthless Baraka for no reason as far as I can tell.

Bingo. I've wanted good X-Men movies for the better part of my entire life, and I was mostly satisfied with the first two and First Class, because they were good stories and treated the characters with some shred of dignity. X-Men 3 took a huge dump on not only the biggest X-Men story arc of all time, but also on the most important relationship in the X-Men universe. Then you have X-Men Origins, which chopped the balls off of Wolverine's backstory and completely ruined what had been built up through Bryan Singer's films as a really cool origin for the character. I don't even need to get into what they did with Deadpool. He's not an A-list character, but jesus, they butchered that character so badly they may as well have been intentionally pissing people off.

From a person who seen the movie already {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The after-credit scene is most likely going to be removed from the film, from what I was told. The mid-credit scene in "The Wolverine" totally steals the show.
MID-CREDIT SCENE
Wolverine is walking towards airport security as the TV ads in the airport are playing commercials from Trask Industries, and he opts for the pat down instead of the metal detector.
The end... NOT!
As the guard asks him to move aside to pat him down, Wolverine notices the x-ray machine start going haywire and the coins in the tray ahead of him about to go through the machine start floating upward. Wolverine spins around, bone claws out, to stab the person behind him, when he's locked in place by... Magneto (Ian McKellen).
The end... NOT!
Magneto tells Wolverine he's not here to fight and that dark forces are gathering. Behind Magneto you see security guards running, pulling out their batons, when they suddenly freeze in space and Magneto releases Wolverine. Wolverine looks around cautiously and sees the entire airport is frozen in place.
The end... NOT!
Moving through the airport and frozen people, appears Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart).
The end... NOT!
Wolverine can't believe his eyes and his legs weaken for a moment, disbelieving Xavier's alive. He says as much. Xavier reminds Wolverine he mentioned that there are mutants in the world capable of extraordinary feats.
The end... for reals!!! I keep using the above "NOTs," because I expected them to cut to black.
End Credit Scene Wolverine's asleep on the plane back to America and they hit turbulence that awakens Wolverine. Yukio says, "Not now." It refers to an earlier premonition that she told Wolverine he'd die on a plane.

That would mean his adamantium was gone and therefore he wouldn't set off the alarms.

As a huge X-Men fan, I've been let down when it comes to films. The first 2 were great, 3 and Origins were fun messes, and I really didn't like First Class. So no matter what I was hearing or seeing about this, I wasn't interested.
Today rolls around and I realise it's still an X-Men film, of course I'm going to see it. Holy shit, am I glad I did! Easily the best X-Men film, and just a damn good film in general. Bryan Singer should be worried, I don't see any way Days of Future Past can be even close to as good as this was.

Singer's done. No way whatever he comes up with will beat this. It was nice to see The Viper as well. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Though I doubt even with something that brutal that she's dead. She's come back from way worse in the comics from what I recall.

Was a lot of fun. 100x better than Origins.
As far as rest of movies: X2, and First Class are GREAT. 1 was good, it just hasn't aged well at all.
3 and Origins were terrible. People don't hate em cuz it's cool to do, people hate em cuz they suck.
Wolverine is a solid film behind 2 and First Class. Amped for Days of Futures Past
