I actually liked Origins, I thought the action was fun. I thought The Wolverine would be better but the story is bland and the action is fine but it's mostly just Wolverine stabbing dudes. At least FOX got their Asian Hawkeye in Wei Shen.

A little bit off topic but I have a lot of friends who were in this film (Just as Background Extra's) and they told me a really cool story about Hugh Jackman.
Apparently there's a scene in the film with quite a lot of Background Extra's. And the Extra's had been on set from like 5 AM until 9 PM they were making decent cash (About 500 bucks a day) but were tired, hungry, thirsty etc. Apparently Hugh noticed they were all hungry and thirsty and started giving food and drinks to Background Extra's from his own catering table. I thought that was really cool of the guy and being the star of the film he definitely didn't have to do it.
As for the film itself, From what I've heard it's meant to be pretty decent so don't lose hope FANers.

Was a lot of fun. 100x better than Origins. Since Origins was -100 levels of suck, I take it that the Wolverine was just okay.

I liked it, but my main complaints are the fact that it ran a little long it was really slow at times.

I was pleasantly surprised. The first Wolverine film sucked so happy to say this was one so much better. Random thoughts about the film (I'll put in spoilers just in case): {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Visually, I loved that it was primarily in Japan. It made it instantly stand out from other comic book movies. The shakey cam was terrible at points though.
Yukio was probably my favourite character. I hope she shows up again somewhere down the line.
Jean Grey's scenes were great. I hope she also shows up in future X-Men films (with Famke playing her).
In contrast, Viper kinda sucked. She was like a pantomime villain by the end, just felt campy and lame. She looked stylin' at the funeral though.
The train top fight was tremendous fun, edge of the seat stuff.
Mariko and Logan's romance felt a bit unnecessary, and borderline creepy.
It did go a little long. Could have been trimmed by 10 minutes or so.
The post credits scene steals the show. It was a surprise for me, and what a surprise! Overall, well worth seeing...surprisingly.

{Spoiler}I will not lie. When Magneto showed up at the end and told Logan about dark forces that would eliminate them, I was hoping against hope that Nick Fury was going to show up and talk about the Avengers. It's just the way they built it up it was almost Avenger like. However, what transpired was a welcome surprise and I had a huge smile on my face afterwards.

The after credit scene was the only redeeming and memorable thing about this movie.

Like all movies this summer Im glad I saw it during the day. It was good but nothing great. The end of an underwhelming summer.

This movie was boring and the twist was stupid.

Saw it today and really enjoyed it. As good as First Class in my opinion.
I think I would rank the films
1. First Class
2. The Wolverine
3. X2
4. X-Men
5. The Last Stand
6. Dog Turd
7. Origins

Just saw it yesterday. It was okay to me, little bit above my expectation. After all the bad reviews about this movie, i lowered my expectation and found this movie surprisingly good. 6.5/10

Question:
In Origins, Wolverine got his adamantium in 1981. In the new film, he already has them in 1945 during the bombing scene. What's up with that?

As someone who's lived in Tokyo for a while, the geography was pretty funny. Wolverine and Mariko run from the temple near Tokyo Tower all the way to Ueno Station, which is about 7 km (according to Google Maps, about the same distance as between the lower parts of Manhattan and Central Park). Although at least they correctly point out that they ran towards the North. If they ran in a more-or-less straight line, they went right through Akihabara, missed opportunity there... The temple garden and running in the streets was apparently shot in Sydney. After the train fight they step off and walk past the Nakagin Capsule Tower (residential and offices, no love hotels there, also it's much closer to the funeral temple than Ueno is) and Mariko suggests walking eight more blocks while pointing in a direction where you can walk about two blocks before reaching Tokyo Bay. And based on photos, it doesn't seem to have any balconies for Logan to get out on.
