My problem with the Nebraska/Maine system, if I understand it correctly, is that if one wins district by district, doesn't that mean that districts with smaller populations have more electoral power than districts with higher populations? Sounds worse than the electoral college to me; again, that's if I understand it correctly.

I think you are asking if any electoral college delegate ever actually voted against his/her state's intended vote. If so, no they have not, but they actually could. There is no law forcing the selected delegate to actually vote as his state selected, though if it ever did happen it would easily spell the end of the electoral college as it currently stands. Personally, I wish every state did it the way that Nebraska and NH do rather than this winner-takes-all policy. This will change the focus of campaigns as every state becomes a swing state. New Hampshire does have a winner-takes-all policy. I think you meant to say Nebraska and Maine. So I did. Silly me.

Sounds worse than the electoral college to me; again, that's if I understand it correctly. Districts are based upon Congressional districts. Congressional districts are based upon even distribution of the populace based on the last census. Therefore, each district is supposed to have the same number of people in them.

I'm British so obviously I can't vote but hoping Obama wins. Can't really speak for your domestic issues but after seeing the debates it seems he switches his opinion when the occasion fits. I also very much disagree with his social policies on homosexuals, abortion etc. In the UK all mainstream parties are pretty much liberal with those issues.

Heh, CNN hijacked the Empire State Building. I hate to be that guy but that just seems wrong to me. I mean you have hundreds of thousands without power and basic services so CNN uses the Empire State Building having power as a marketing tool? I guess you can say it lets those without TV keep up with the results but it just seems cruel to do to me.

We'd get a sensible approach to the deficit and a strong defense against the Skrull Brotherhood. As much as a I like Cap (favorite Marvel guy), I can't bring myself to vote for him. {Spoiler} ![](http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt62/Jedi-El/530596_10151122316542285_1683455772_n.jpg)

Ok, 10 minutes, 6 states close, 4 should go to Romney, 1 to Obama, that leaves Virginia as the odd man out. Let's get ready to rumble.

Of course if DC hadn't rebooted the John Byrne post-Crisis origin this wouldn't be a problem.

That's been a criticism of Romney for much of the campaign, and one of the reasons I voted for Obama (though it wouldn't have made a difference, seeing as my state always votes Democrat, anyway). In the end, there's not a lot about Romney that inspires confidence in me that he'd be a good president. Not nearly as thrilled with Obama as I was in 2008, but I think he'd be better for me than Romney as president.

If it were for advertising a movie or Windows 8 launching or something then yeah, but this I can understand. Not saying it still isn't awful to do to people without power still, but yeah.

I never understood the whole "flip flopper" criticism for either side. Things change, more information is found, you change your position to suit it. Why is this a bad thing? I would prefer this over someone who rigidly sticks to their original opinion no matter what.

I also very much disagree with his social policies on homosexuals, abortion etc. In the UK all mainstream parties are pretty much liberal with those issues. It's hard to imagine those being key issues in a UK election, especially with the economy in it's current state. That said it's good that there appears to be some real differences between the candidates in America.

Am I allowed to post a political ad of the Stephanie and Linda McMahon speaking fluent Spanish for non-political reasons? It's amazing for all the wrong reasons.
