Like an idiot I went to Walmart to get Borderlands 2 for $25, and like an idiot they were well sold out by 8:20 pm when I got there. The one smart thing I did was walk out and buy nothing since they didn't have what I wanted. I may be dumb enough to get suckered in there, but not to fully fall to their bait and switching. Same with WWE 13 for me. I also went for a Blu Ray player but everything was either sold out or so disorganized (seriously, a cop in uniform and armed working the sales floor?!) that I gave up trying and left after 10 minutes. Hey guys, WWE 13 is on Amazon sale tomorrow afternoon between 12:10 to 4:10 Eastern time. PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!!

I went to get into line for Best Buy's 12:00 open to buy a 40" TV and the tickets were already out for those at 11. I am contemplating going back at 2 to get in the 3AM line for the 4 AM block in case some had not been claimed (there usually are a couple).

Even if you can't get it there, it's on sale on WWE Shop with an additional 20% off and free shipping - still cheaper than in stores.

Granted, $10 more than I was going to pay tonight but I'll get it in 2 days since I have Prime and more importantly, I don't have to venture into a Walmart to do so. That alone could be worth $10.

*sigh of exasperation*
Just finished my four hours at Walmart running the registers... and f***ing up multiple times along the way (especially after 10 p.m. since some of the electronics weren't ringing up correctly).
I'm just happy it's over for me.

The Wal-Mart here must have gotten like 2 copies of the 25 buck games. Friend that was going to hold them for me got there at 8:05 and they were gone...yup...what a disappointment.

Clearly the items that weren't ringing up correctly is your fault. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I know when I was a cashier, anytime something didn't ring up right, I had to be the one to get the ear full... I worked in a grocery store so Thanksgiving and a few days before Christmas was our busiest days but, I can't imagine it happening on a Black Friday though.... Hopefully it wasn't too bad on ya.

I think that Wal-Mart is going to lose a few customers this evening. I just heard from a friend that got in line at 8 for the guaranteed prices for TVs if you are in line between 10-11. They were told that the tickets for that guarantee had already run out and that they were not going to honor the guarantee that they had been playing in all their TV ads for the last three weeks. Combine this bait and switch crap with the bad press they have been getting lately for their treatment of their employees and I think that they will drive off a number of people that can afford to shop anywhere else.

Lets be real here. Wal-Mart would have to literally poison their own customers to get them to shop anywhere else. Even then, I see the customers coming back.....

Well, the onus was on me to a certain degree; for instance, the 60" LED TV's that we were selling weren't ringing up right at all. Also, we couldn't ring up any of the iPads that we had on sale because all of the tags lacked a Serial Number which was needed in order to sell the product. We had to send ~150 customers to the service desk to clear it all up. I bet even now some of those people are still waiting to get them.

Perhaps, but I can't see anyone that they burn like this do their Black Friday shopping with them again.

Go to electronics, and get them from the normal cases. Your WM must be different then because at mine you can't do that. If the games don't have a specific sticker on them then they are the regular price. Anyway, I got back a few hours ago. Nabbed WWE 13, Super Paper Mario, three DVDs, two pairs of slippers, a sweat outfit, a pair of PJ pants and a vacuum cleaner for $110. Going to be heading back out to Meijer at 5am so I can grab two $100 coats that are on sale for $30.

Just got back. Got WWE 13 from Walmart and ventured to the mall to scope the yoga pants situation. Good call on both.
