...Thread.
Getting lost in all the talk about Punk mocking Lawler's heart attack and the Vickie/AJ/Cena thing, there actually was a fun little tag match tonight.
Hopefully they can go around again in an Elimination Match on Sunday to pad out the card, maybe with one more on each team to get it to 5 on 5.

Even coming after THAT segment, it was still a killer match, with great action from everyone. Good to see Gabriel and Kidd finally getting pushed again after spending so much time in the JTTS file.

I loved the end of the match. Seriously, I hope WWE are starting to finally realize how good tag team matches can be. The tag titles used to be the second most heavily desired title in the company next to the WWE title. I hope they continue to build the division up.

They're fanastic at putting together 2-3 minutes of madness to end multiman matches. Credit to the agents and wrestlers for putting it all together and executing it flawlessly.

The big knock against the tag team division right now is that the established teams seem to be below the level of the thrown together teams like Team Friendship and the Rhodes Scholars.
Put more matches on like this and perhaps that can change.
Also, they need to be more consistent with Gabriel and Kidd, as they seem to be worst right now when it comes to yo-yo booking.

What a great team of faces. All 4 guys are exciting to watch. Hell, so are the heels for that matter. Primo and Rey need to have a good 10+ minute match one of these days.

I agree with you. But then again, Kane & Bryan are two former tag champions, and Cody Rhodes is a former Intercontinental Champion who many thought would be World Heavyweight Champion/main eventing right now. I think just keeping Rey Mysterio in the tag division rather than having him as another aimless main eventer has been a good benefit for these tag team guys. The fact that two former NXT mainstays in Titus O'Neil and Darren Young are able to hang with a former WWE Champion in Rey Mysterio and a Triple H pet project in Sin Cara makes them look pretty credible. Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd are really not that bad off. They're on TV almost every week. While they're still jobbing in singles matches (against main event caliber talent), they've put on pretty competitive efforts in recent weeks. I think Gabriel was Wade Barrett's biggest challenge (not counting Sheamus/Orton) so far and Kidd was booked pretty strongly against Del Rio

I guess Primo/Epico are heels again by defualt.
Nice to see Kidd/Gabriel not as fodder for once.
The tag division has been good, but it seems the pecking order has been in order and not much has moved. The same teams usually beat the same teams.
Top Tier
1 Hell No 2 Rhdoes Scholars
Upper Tier
3 Rey Cara 4 PTP
Mid Tier
5 Primo / Epico 6 3MB
The We Don't Win Much Tier
7 Team CoBro (Zack and Santino) 8 The Usos

I think they need more matches like this rather than following the usual isolation/hot-tag formula every single time (not that there's anything wrong with tried and tested methods). But the only team that wasn't thrown together in that match were the Colons and the only others on the main roster are the Usos. I don't see how Kidd and Gabriel are any less thrown together than the top two teams and even PTP were former enemies that teamed up.

The Rock and Roll Express, The Midnight Express, The Fabulous Ones, The Rockers, etc.

All of the actual tag teams (with non-portmanteau names and matching attire) are just having matches with each other with no real importance, while the big title feud is between two teams of singles guys and has been ever since Kane and Bryan took the titles from Kofi and Truth back in September.

THAT! Is the kind of stuff we should be seeing every week. Fast paced action, by talented up and coming performers, with a hot crowd and an original/action packed finish. That is all I ask for WWE, and it shouldn't be that hard with the roster and the amount of talented in ring guys they have.
Mix it up a bit, put on a few original matches each week with different stipulations and rotate people on the roster and give them more time to actually wrestle on Raw. The more of this the better, and I second that this or a version of this match should be added to the Survivor Series card.

It was weird how Prepico and PTP were kind of just thrown together even though they were feuding like 2 months ago...

The ending was fantastic. Cole's commentary proved WWE is trying hard to make the division something worth watching again.

Wow, so if you give fans entertaining and exciting wrestling, they react accordingly.
If I didn't know better, I might think that when a crowd sits on their hands, it's because they think the match they're seeing is, in fact, not entertaining and exciting wrestling and not because there "wasn't enough character development; was no real storyline; wasn't enough mic work during the build up".

Well boo on the director for missing that great Gabriel bump the first time live. But yeah I love when multi man matches just devolve into just madness and finisher trading.

So, if this is added to SS, who should be added as the fifth member of each team or would you go for the 4 man SS teams?
For heels, all that you have left is basically the 3MB crew. For faces, there is Ryder and Santino and a small handful of others. Since 3MB and Ryder and Santino are feuding, it would make sense to include one of each on the teams.
